One former candidate has revealed the price Joe Biden paid to get his opponents out of the race.
He’s given out important positions to his recent enemies.
A top Democrat made an embarrassing slip that revealed Biden’s running mate.
Whoever becomes Joe Biden’s vice president has a fairly good shot at becoming president.
Even if Joe Biden doesn’t die in office, his increasing mental problems could very well be a sign of early dementia.
He’d be 78 at the time he took office if he won the election, the oldest president by a considerable margin.
He’s said himself that whoever he picks as his vice president would have to be able to take over because he’s so old.
“But for me, it has to be demonstrated that whoever I pick is two things,” Biden said back in January. “One, is capable of being president, because I’m an old guy. No, I’m serious. Look, thank God I’m in great health, I work out, no I’m serious, you know I work out every morning. I’m in good shape.”
But apparently his first criteria for picking a vice president is who will help him win the nomination.
Both Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar gave up their chances of winning big on Super Tuesday to join in on Joe Biden’s team.
They didn’t do this for free, they both got promises of prestigious appointments within Biden’s administration if he’s elected.
While it is still unclear what role Pete Buttigieg will be getting, Amy Klobuchar let slip that she’s going to be added onto the ticket as vice president.
According to the Daily Wire:
While campaigning on behalf of former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) had an embarrassing verbal flub when she accidentally told a crowd of Biden supporters that she was joining the ticket as the nominee’s vice president.
According to Amanda Golden of NBC News, Klobuchar had a “bit of a Freudian slip” when the former Democratic presidential candidate said she “couldn’t think of a better way to end my candidacy than join the ticket.”
After the statement, the crowd applauded the senator. Klobuchar, however, immediately backtracked, amending her remarks to note that she was joining the “terrific campaign of Joe Biden,” not the Democrats’ general election ticket itself.
Having Klobuchar on the ticket will help the Democrats’ guilt at having nominated another old white male to the presidency.
Joe Biden made it clear that he was going to make sure that his vice president was either a woman or a minority.
Several people were surprised that Biden isn’t going to pick Kamala Harris who has the benefit of being a minority and a woman, but Kamala Harris didn’t stay in the race long enough to be a threat to Joe Biden.
By joining Joe Biden’s campaign as his vice president, Amy Klobuchar now has a better shot at becoming president than Bernie Sanders.
She‘s lucky enough to get where she is because she’s a woman and Biden needed her support.
That’s not a well-thought-out strategy.
