Democrats are going to spend the next several months searching for ways to spin the coronavirus pandemic to their political advantage.
But they just got some bad news on that front.
And now Adam Schiff has a lot to answer for after this coronavirus blunder.
The coronavirus began to seed itself in American communities back in January after the Chinese spent weeks lying about the true nature of the coronavirus.
At that time, all of Washington was consumed by the impeachment hoax as Democrats sought to remove the President from office using a fabricated scandal surrounding withheld military aid to Ukraine.
In an interview with Fox News, Donald Trump blamed Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and the rest of the Democrats for plowing ahead with this witch hunt at a time when the government’s attention needed to be focused on the coronavirus spreading from China to countries around the world.
“All she did was focus on impeachment,” Trump told Fox News. “She didn’t focus on anything having to do with pandemics, she didn’t focus on — she focused on impeachment and she lost. And she looked like a fool.”
Mitch McConnell echoed these comments in an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt after Hewitt asked him about Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton being the first to call out the Chinese for their lies about the coronavirus.
“He was first, and I think Tom was right on the mark. And it came up while we were tied down on the impeachment trial. And I think it diverted the attention of the government, because everything every day was all about impeachment. But Tom figured this out early, and he was absolutely right,” McConnell told Hewitt.
Americans now look at the Democrats’ impeachment trial of Donald Trump – with its preordained outcome – like a frivolous exercise conducted by a decadent Party.
Months of time and attention that could have been spent on anything else were wasted on Adam Schiff’s political performance art.
The fake news media egged on this spectacle because they hate Donald Trump and want to see him gone.
As much as the fake news claims that Donald Trump “downplayed” the pandemic, the President’s time and attention were focused on winning acquittal in the Democrats’ sham impeachment trial.
Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff should be forced to answer questions about why they thought a phone call to the Ukrainian President that didn’t amount to any action taken by either the United States or Ukrainian government should have seized the attention of the entire United States government.
Once the Senate moved into an impeachment trial, there was no other business to conduct.
Senators could not hold hearings where the administration could brief Congress and the public and focus on its pandemic response.
Any gaps in preparation could have been caught ahead of time and fixed before the situation spiraled out of control.
