Adam Schiff thought his prayers were answered.
An 11th hour leak of former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s book provided Democrats the supposed “smoking gun” they were chasing.
But then Adam Schiff went on TV and made this confession about John Bolton. It just changed everything.
On Sunday night two fake news “reporters” from the New York Times published an unverified account of Bolton’s forthcoming book “The Room Where It Happened.”
In the book, Bolton claimed that last August Donald Trump told him the security aid to Ukraine was directly linked to the new Ukrainian President announcing investigations into Joe and Hunter Biden’s corrupt actions.
The Democrats impeachment case was dying a quick death in the Senate as the President’s lawyers shredded Adam Schiff and his fellow impeachment managers’ case in just two hours.
But when the Times published an anonymous source’s account of Bolton claiming the President admitted to a quid pro quo, RINO traitors like Mitt Romney, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski began to panic and make it clear they wanted to extend the impeachment witch hunt by calling Bolton to testify.
Just two days later in an interview on MSNBC none other than Adam Schiff admitted to why Bolton’s testimony could not be believed.
Schiff began his answer on Bolton trying to fend off legitimate questions as to why the House didn’t subpoena Bolton for their impeachment inquiry and fight in court to compel his testimony.
“[W]e would have loved to have John Bolton testify,” Schiff began “Of course, we invited him to testify and he refused. We always begin by inviting people to come in voluntarily. Many witnesses wanted subpoenas, and then we would subpoena, they would come in and testify. But Bolton’s lawyers said if we subpoenaed him, he would sue us and we would be tied up in courts, we knew, for months or years if we did, just as we’re tied up in courts with Don McGahn. That didn’t seem to be a good remedy when we’re talking about a president trying to cheat in the next election.”
Schiff then went on to admit that Bolton agreed to testify in the Senate trial if subpoenaed after refusing to testify before the House because Bolton’s book was now complete and it would help boost sales.
“I have to say it is vexing that he would refuse to come before the House because he claimed he needed basically a court blessing that he could do it, but now he can come before the Senate. Now, he will have to answer questions about that. You know, why is it that only now he is willing to come forward? I think it is pretty clear that the book has a lot to do with this. But, you know, whatever his motivation was for not coming before the House and now being willing to come before the Senate, at the end of the day what really matters is that the American people get to hear the full truth,” Schiff concluded.
After Bolton’s book leaked to the New York Times a link on Amazon went live where Americans could purchase the book on pre-order.
