Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s social media prowess made her a big star.
But it also places her in the middle of scandal.
And now all hell is breaking loose because Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accused a cop of one unthinkable plan to harm her.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez livestreamed a video to her social media accounts for over an hour where Ocasio-Cortez told numerous falsehoods and made baseless claims.
In the video, Ocasio-Cortez recounted a scene from the January 6 riot where a police officer broke into her office.
“Hide, hide, run and hide,” Ocasio-Cortez described a staffer warning her as they heard a commotion outside Ocasio-Cortez’s office.
Ocasio-Cortez claimed she hid in her office bathroom when a Capitol Hill police officer burst into her office looking to help Ocasio-Cortez.
“Where is she? Where is she?” Ocasio-Cortez said she heard the officer shouting.
“I thought I was going to die,” Ocasio-Cortez told her viewers. “I have never been quieter in my entire life.”
But what made Ocasio-Cortez suspicious of the police officer was his race.
Ocasio-Cortez described the cop as a “white man in a black beanie” and since he was white, Ocasio-Cortez did not believe she could trust the man who was sworn to serve and protect her to act in her best interests.
“It didn’t feel right,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “Because he was looking at me with a tremendous amount of anger and hostility. Things weren’t adding up. There was no partner there. He wasn’t yelling ‘this is Capitol Police, this is Capitol Police.’ And he was looking at me in all of this anger and hostility,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
Ocasio-Cortez looked skeptically upon the Capitol Hill police officer helpfully offering her a location to retreat to for safety.
However, Ocasio-Cortez couldn’t accept the man’s assistance at face value because she felt the cop was setting her up to be maimed or killed because he was white.
“We couldn’t tell, we couldn’t read if this was a good situation or a bad situation,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “Like so many other communities in this country, just that presence doesn’t necessarily give you a signal if you’re safe or not. So the situation did not feel ok.”
“Did he not say he was Capitol police on purpose? Was he trying to actually put us in a vulnerable situation?” Ocasio-Cortez asked.
A Capitol Hill police officer died in the riot.
Others police officers demonstrated heroism under pressure leading rioters away from where members where hiding.
That didn’t matter to Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
All she saw was a white police officer and so in her mind that could only mean a racist killer burst into her office.
