The Fox News Channel audience was not used to seeing what took place on one of the channel’s most popular shows.
One host went rogue.
Then all hell broke loose at Fox News after an on-air meltdown that stunned viewers.
Joe Biden previewed that he would unveil trillions of dollars in new social welfare spending combined with trillions of dollars in taxes on Americans in his first address to Congress.
Biden’s plan created a cradle-to-grave socialist welfare state that began with “free” pre-kindergarten and ended with a welfare program for elder care.
“Fox & Friends” “co-host” Brian Kilmeade ripped Biden for punishing small business owners to fund a brand-new welfare state.
“All of a sudden you have a situation where you have a total distribution of wealth,” Kilmeade stated.
Kilmeade then ticked off the list of proposed socialist welfare programs Biden intended to use his address to Congress as a launching point for.
“We’re going to have free community college, free for people that go but it’s going to cost half of America that money. Free pre-K and you have the spending bill on top of that,” KiImeade added that Biden’s proposed six trillion dollars in spending added up to a“restructuring of our government. It is now a basically a slowly but surely socialized economic system that we have.”
Co-host Steve Doocy interjected to claim that public polling showed Biden’s trillions in socialist spending was popular and Biden was therefore right to pursue a Venezuela-style socialist welfare state and trillions in new taxes.
“Here’s the thing. All the things he is going to talk about tonight are very popular. Universal free pre-k is popular. Free college is popular. Family leave is popular. Tax cuts are popular. Things like that,” Doocy stated. “And when they talk about raising taxes on the wealthy people, a majority of people in this country are okay with that.”
What Doocy failed to mention is that the public polling that claims Biden’s proposed tax increase and socialist giveaways are so popular are the same pollsters that pegged the Democrats to win 15 to 20 seats in the House last year and up to seven seats in the Senate.
The polls Doocy cited are all run by left-wing corporate media outlets and universities which also show Democrat priorities with massive public support because they ask the questions in the most favorable frame possible.
Americans haven’t yet been told that Biden plans to finance his plan by punishing small business owners by eliminating the “step-up” basis for gains worth more than one million dollars.
This allows small business owners to pass their life’s work down to their children at a lower tax rate than the death tax charges them.
Biden also plans to break his promise not to raise taxes on any Americans that makes less than $400,000 per year by setting the threshold for the top tax bracket of 39.7 percent at $400,000 gross family income.
Two married small business owners who each make more than $200,000 would see their taxes raised as part of Biden’s plan.
Fox News viewers expect context, analysis and the entirety of the news when they tune in.
Instead, Steve Doocy is increasingly turning to boosting Joe Biden.
Several days ago Doocy applauded Biden’s historically low approval numbers as solid because of the polarization in American politics.
Doocy’s cheerleading for Biden struck many Fox viewers as strange because his son Peter is one of the few reporters in the White House press corps that asks press secretary Jen Psaki tough questions.
But some Fox viewers felt they were being ill-served by Doocy glossing over some of the issues with the public polling that Doocy claimed showed Biden’s agenda as wildly popular.
