Democrats are taking another run at trying to force Brett Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court.
But no one thought Democrats would cross this line.
All hell broke loose because of what Tucker Carlson learned about Brett Kavanaugh.
Democrat Senator from Rhode Island Sheldon Whitehouse fired off a letter to Joe Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland trying to cast doubt on the FBI investigation into Christine Blasey Ford’s baseless allegations that Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a party when the two were 15.
The FBI investigation turned up nothing and one of the women Blasey Ford named as a corroborating witness denied to the FBI that the event ever took place.
Carlson discussed Whitehouse’s conspiracy-mongering with Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume.
Tucker asked Hume about Whitehouse’s letter which contained the insane allegation that the anti-Trump FBI conducted a “fake” investigation into Blasey Ford’s allegation.
“He recently sent a letter to the attorney general saying the FBI’s 2018 background investigation of Brett Kavanaugh and we are quoting here ‘was perhaps fake,’” Carlson added, “Some of us accuse the FBI of not being quite on the level of botching investigations, but faking a background investigation into a Supreme Court nominee is pretty big news.”
Hume was disgusted having to relive the Kavanaugh confirmation.
Not only did Blasey Ford offer up last-minute baseless allegations, but disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti also paraded Julie Swetnick around the media where Swetnick falsely claimed Kavanaugh attended parties in high school where gang rapes took place.
Hume referred to the whole episode as “uncorroborated character assassination.”
“Look, I’m glad you wanted to have me on the story, but I hope you won’t ask me to relive that whole nightmare. That was, in my more than 50 years covering the news in Washington, the single most disgusting and disgraceful episode I’ve ever witnessed,” Hume declared. “It was an out and out uncorroborated character assassination of a man who was palpably well qualified for the job of Supreme Court Justice.”
Hume blasted the absurd nature of Blasey Ford’s allegation where she offered no evidence and changed her story because she could not remember key details.
“The effort was made to undo him by this last-minute allegation by a woman who could not tell even what year he was alleged to have assaulted her, where exactly it happened, how far it was from her home or the club where she said the house was near,” Hume added.
Carlson asked Hume about why Whitehouse would do this two and a half years after the fact and the only thing Hume could come up with was that this was a Hail Mary attempt to use the new Biden administration—which is expected to politicize the Department of Justice and the FBI—to try and force Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court.
“Well, look, he is a liberal senator. The Supreme Court is now a majority of judicial conservatives. That is disagreeable to the Sheldon Whitehouses of the world,” Hume concluded. “And what could be better than to take another stab at dislodging him from the court.”
