One of the worst-kept secrets in Washington is the fact that Hillary Clinton eyed a third presidential run in 2024.
Clinton finally delivered her answer.
And all hell broke loose when Hillary Clinton made this major 2024 decision.
Clinton would never challenge Joe Biden for the Democrat Party nomination in 2024.
But Joe Biden will be 82 years old in 2024.
Biden’s approval ratings have hovered in the low 40s for months and exit polls from the midterm elections found 67 percent of voters do not want him to seek a second term.
Other polls show a majority of Americans believe Biden is not mentally capable of serving as president due to his ever-growing senility.
But Joe Biden believes he must run for re-election as Biden thinks he is the only Democrat who can defeat Donald Trump.
And it appears that Hillary Clinton is ready to accept that reality and throw in the towel on her presidential ambitions.
Clinton announced she accepted a position as a professor of international relations at Columbia University in New York City.
“I have had the great pleasure of knowing Hillary personally for three decades, since her early days as First Lady of the United States. Her public service has expanded since then, most notably in her remarkably successful tenure as Senator for the State of New York, in her impressive role as Secretary of State, and in her two historic and record-breaking presidential campaigns. Given her extraordinary talents and capacities together with her singular life experiences, Hillary Clinton is unique, and, most importantly, exceptional in what she can bring to the University’s missions of research and teaching, along with public service and engagement for the public good,” Columbia President Lee Bollinger stated.
Clinton knew she was taking a soft landing out of the world of politics and celebrated the move.
“I am honored to join Columbia University, and the School of International and Public Affairs and Columbia World Projects,” Clinton declared. “Columbia’s commitment to educating the next generation of U.S. and global policy leaders, translating insights into impact, and helping to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges resonates personally with me. I look forward to contributing to these efforts.”
Hillary Clinton thirsts for power like a vampire does blood.
Clinton would never take the Columbia job unless she was 100 percent convinced Joe Biden was running for re-election next year.
The irony of Columbia hiring Clinton to teach international relations was not lost on anyone as Clinton’s foreign policy failures are the number one reason she never won the presidency.
In 2008 Barack Obama outflanked her to the left in the Democrat presidential primary because Hillary Clinton voted for the war in Iraq whereas Obama once gave a speech in a Chicago park opposing the disastrous invasion.
Then in 2016 Donald Trump’s pledge for an America First foreign policy helped crack the blue wall and flip Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin as voters tired of Clinton’s support for new wars in Libya and Syria.
But Americans can at least take solace in the fact that Hillary Clinton will not be running for president again.
