And all hell broke loose when it leaked what Joe Biden said on this bombshell phone call.
The scandal surrounding Joe Biden’s involvement in Hunter Biden’s foreign business arrangements keeps growing.
A whistleblower provided the Daily Mail information about a 2012 conference call about securing government permission in Peru for an online gambling platform called Ocho Global.
On the call with Biden was the late Harry Reid, Reid’s son Key, Hunter Biden business partner Jeff Cooper, and Hunter Biden.
The whistleblower said Biden was an eager participant in trying to push this deal through.
The Daily Mail reported:
“Harry Reid asked whether or not the Peruvian government had been taken care of,” the source said. “Cooper replied that it had all been taken care of; the Peruvian cooperation was in place.
“That’s when Joe Biden said: ‘That’s what we need to hear more of boys. We need to be making progress,’ or something like that. Just an effusive comment that was endorsing that he was happy that things were proceeding.
“He had all sorts of questions about other stuff. ‘Do we need to be doing other things with government officials? What do we need to do to get this moving ahead?’ He asked about what the revenue projections were and how soon the Ocho Rio software… could be demoed.”
Joe Biden claims he never spoke to his son about his business ventures.
The whistleblower mocked this as a crock saying Joe Biden was so deeply involved in this deal that he considered Biden the equivalent of a member of the board of directors.
“With the direct observations I had, it’s obvious Joe was participating in the business,” the source said in an interview with the Daily Mail. “He wasn’t passive, he was talking about it. If I had to describe him, he was like a member of the Board of Directors.”
Republicans appear like they are on track to win a majority in the House of Representatives.
Kentucky Congressman James Comer is set to chair the Oversight Committee in a Republican House of Representatives.
Comer told CBS News that he is prepared to subpoena Hunter Biden to testify before his committee.

A Republican Congress is sure to subpoena Hunter Biden and demand he answer under oath questions about Joe Biden’s involvement in his foreign business deals.
Most of the questions will revolve around Hunter Biden trying to do business in Communist China and if that compromised his father.
But this offshore gambling scheme is sure to come up as well.
