Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was feeling the heat.
He was identified as one of the ringleaders of the anti-Trump conspiracy inside the FBI.
But he never expected to get this career ending news.
Reports came from out of the blue that effective immediately, McCabe was resigning as Deputy Director.
“Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe is stepping down, Breitbart News has confirmed.
He will remain on “leave” until spring, when he can officially retire from the FBI.
According to Fox News, McCabe was “removed.” A source told the news outlet that this was the earliest date possible for the FBI to remove him and still leave him fully eligible for his pension. A CNN reporter has also shared this version of events.”
There were reports that an impending Inspector General report would paint McCabe – and other Bureau higher ups – in a negative light for their conduct during the Hillary Clinton email and Russia investigations.

And McCabe’s ouster came one day after FBI Director Christopher Wray reviewed the memo put together by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes outlining the abuses of power the FBI carried out against the Trump campaign.
Fox News Channel’s Judge Andrew Napolitano contended that Wray reviewing the memo played a direct role in McCabe being forced out.

Investigative journalist Sara Carter reported McCabe’s removal could be the first in a series of moves to clear out the high ranking officials associated with McCabe:
“Current and former FBI officials said McCabe’s resignation is the beginning of more resignations to come.
“There are people lining up in the bureau to go after McCabe,” said a former FBI official, with knowledge. “There will be a clean up at the Bureau of his cronies.”
