Barack and Michelle Obama are back.
The former President and First Lady jumped at the chance to undermine Donald Trump.
And they sent one letter that has everyone fearing the worst.
Obama is a long-time gun grabber who once completed a survey for a State Senate run where he expressed support for a state level ban on the manufacturing, sale, and possession of hand guns.
As President, he supported a national gun registration database scheme and spoke favorably about Australia’s gun confiscation program.
So it was no surprise he leapt at the chance to exploit the shooting in Parkland, Florida to push his gun grabbing agenda.
Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama fired off a hand-written note to the survivors of the shooting who are now anti-gun activists.
The Obama’s praised them for their work to gut the Second Amendment and disarm American citizens.
The Daily Mail reports:
“Former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama penned a letter to the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School heralding them for their efforts to get new gun laws passed.
‘We wanted to let you know how inspired we have been by the resilience, resolve and solidarity that you have shown in the wake unspeakable tragedy,’ the former first couple wrote the young people, according to Mic. ‘Not only have you supported and comforted each other, but you’ve helped awaken the conscience of the nation, and challenged decision-makers to make the safety of our children the country’s top priority.’
On Saturday, students from Parkland, Florida, will join their peers and like-minded Americans on the National Mall for the first-ever March for Our Lives to push for gun control.
Former President Obama first spoke out about the Valentine’s Day mass shooting, in which 17 students and teachers were killed, the day after the massacre.
We are grieving with Parkland,’ the Democratic leader said. ‘But we are not powerless.’
‘Caring for our kids is our first job. And until we can honestly say that we’re doing enough to keep them safe from harm, including long overdue, common-sense gun safety laws that most Americans want, then we have to change,’ the ex-president said.”
Obama described his failure to pass stricter gun control that would’ve trample on the rights of Americans and ban guns as his biggest disappointment as President.
Like all the gun grabbers in the media and in Washington, Obama is jumping on the bandwagon to exploit the grief of the Parkland students to push his political agenda.
They smell an opportunity to parade sympathetic victims in front of the camera and use them for emotional blackmail to pressure Republicans into caving in to their demands to grab guns away from Americans.
