2017 was a bad year for Barack Obama.
It kicked off with Donald Trump moving into the White House and working to erase his failed legacy.
And it ended with Obama getting slapped with the worst news of his life.
The cornerstone of Obama’s efforts to weaken America was the Iranian nuclear deal.
Obama colluded with the Islamist government of Iran to put in place a “deal” that would allow Iran to one day acquire a nuclear weapon.
The deal was thought to strengthen the hard line government’s position.
But in the final days of 2017, the Iranian people revolted.
Thousands took to the streets to protest the militant Islamic government.

The government responded by demanding social media companies censor their content in Iran.
And companies like Twitter – which supported net neutrality rules and giving government control over the internet in America – complied.
The Mullah’s also ordered a show of force to squash the demonstrators.
12 protesters were murdered by government forces.
But Donald Trump stood up for American values and condemned the Iranian government and called for change.
Iran is failing at every level despite the terrible deal made with them by the Obama Administration. The great Iranian people have been repressed for many years. They are hungry for food & for freedom. Along with human rights, the wealth of Iran is being looted. TIME FOR CHANGE!

Obama’s allies in the foreign policy establishment and media tried to downplay the protests.
The point behind the nuclear deal was that it would empower the government.
But that was fake news.
The Iranian people are fed up with the Islamic government and took to the streets.
This is a repeat of the 2009 “Green Revolution” where protesters tried to enact change.
But Obama stood by silently and the government crushed the demonstrators.
He couldn’t afford for the government he wanted to negotiate with to fall, so he stained America’s reputation with his implied support for the Iranian government.
Now Trump faces a mid-January deadline on imposing sanctions on Iran that were lifted because of the nuclear deal.
Trump could undo Obama’s worst legacy with one simple move.
