An Iranian-backed militia staged an attack on the U.S. embassy in Baghdad after American air power carried out rocket strikes pounding the militia in retaliation for a rocket attack that killed an American contractor.
President Trump has worked to keep America out of endless wars in the Middle East, but the President felt he had no choice but to respond after the Iranian militia murdered an American citizen.
In a social media post, President Trump put Iran on notice that they would face severe consequences for any escalation in hostilities.
“Iran killed an American contractor, wounding many. We strongly responded, and always will. Now Iran is orchestrating an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Iraq. They will be held fully responsible. In addition, we expect Iraq to use its forces to protect the Embassy, and so notified!” the President tweeted.
This entire mess was created by Barack Obama.
Obama appeased Iran including sending them plates of cash Iran could use to fund terrorism as part of the disastrous nuclear agreement.
President Trump tore up that pitiful deal and imposed sanctions that broke the back of Iran’s economy.
Iran has been trying to force America to surrender on the sanctions by staging an increasingly dangerous series of provocations that began with shooting down an American drone this summer.
In this latest attack, one of the militia leaders Hadi Farhan al-Amiri once allegedly accompanied the Iraqi President Nouri al-Maliki to the White House as an honored guest of Barack Obama back in 2011.

An official tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps was part of the Iraqi delegation that visited the White House Monday for a meeting with President Obama, alarming some who say Iraq’s growing ties to Iran are among the most worrisome aspect of a U.S. pullout.
Hadi Farhan al-Amiri, Iraq’s current transportation minister, accompanied Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and several other top Baghdad advisers on the high-profile visit to Washington timed with the official wind-down of U.S. military involvement in Iraq.
This visit caused controversy at the time because al-Amiri was a former commander of the terrorist group the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
And now Obama’s failure with the Iranian nuclear deal has come full circle as the former terrorists Obama rolled out the red carpet for at the White House are now attacking an American embassy and threatening the troops and personnel that work at and guard the facility.
Donald Trump does not want war with Iran.
