Barack Obama had one goal as President – tear down everything that made America great.
Donald Trump was elected to undo all the damage Obama inflicted upon America.
Now as Trump’s first year in office is coming to a close, Obama just got the worst news of his life.
The dishonest media has tried to distract the American people from Trump’s achievements as President.
Reporters have breathlessly hyped up the fake news Russia collusion investigation and pumped up Twitter feuds to claim the administration is in chaos.
But with Trump on the verge of a historic victory on tax cuts, the media is being forced to reassess their review of Trump’s time in office.
Judging by the policy merits, Trump has been a tremendous success.
The tax cut bill not only slashes rates and juices economic growth, but it guts Obamacare by repealing the individual mandate.
He’s rolled back or halted over 1,500 regulations and ended Obama’s assault on American freedom and capitalism.
Trump has also seen a record number of judicial appointments and pushed the nation’s courts in a conservative direction.
The economy has boomed under Trump with the stock market hitting record highs and consumer confidence reaching its highest point in nearly 16 years.
Finally, he has won the war against ISIS.
The terrorist group has been driven from Iraq and their caliphate has been smashed because Trump empowered Secretary of Defense Mattis to change the rules of engagement and allow our military to fight to win.
Mike Allen of Axios – who is the picture of inside-the-beltway journalism – wrote in his daily newsletter about the substantial number of achievements Trump notched in year one:
- “Why it matters: The media often appraises presidencies and politics through liberal-tinted glasses. But the vast majority of the majority like, even love, these policies. (Worth noting: A majority of America opposes Trump and most of his policies.)
- Be smart: We have been saying all year: Watch what he does, not what he says. Until recently, he hasn’t done much. But these wins are substantial, with consequences for millions of people and many years to come.
- Never underestimate the power of one party controlling all of government. Even with a slow start, constant distractions, ongoing investigations, the Trump GOP reengineered big chunks of our lives. Elections matter.”
When Barack Obama left office, the media hailed his legacy and bragged it would be difficult to dislodge.
But Trump has proven he is up to the task and won victories when the media boasted that it would be impossible to do so.
