Joe Biden is about to get destroyed in the midterms.
But while congressional Democrats are looking at a disaster in the face, things just went from bad to worse.
And it’s all because Biden just admitted his plans to confiscate guns if his party wins in November.
Democrats are currently facing a nightmare scenario.
With the midterm elections right around the corner, history suggests that the party is set to lose a devastating number of seats in Congress as part of a growing nationwide backlash against Joe Biden’s rule.
But now, Biden just turned a bad situation and made it much worse for Democrats after uttering one sentence about his plans for gun confiscation if Democrats hold onto both chambers of Congress.
Reuters reports, “U.S. President Joe Biden condemned violent threats against FBI agents who searched predecessor Donald Trump’s home as ‘sickening,’ as he called for more police funding and an assault weapons ban in Pennsylvania.”
With Democrats locked in a heated battle for control of the Senate—which is currently evenly split between both parties—Biden is now stumping with Democrat nominee John Fetterman in Pennsylvania, which is expected to be one of the closest races in the entire country.
But despite the fact that Pennsylvania is a critical swing state, Biden is pretending the state is a left-wing bastion that would openly endorse radical gun confiscation.
Reuters adds, “On Tuesday, Biden criticized Republican lawmakers who have opposed his plans to fund law enforcement and cut gun violence.
“Biden has called for Congress to pass an assault weapons ban as well as $37 billion for crime prevention programs, with $13 billion to hire and train an additional 100,000 police officers over the next five years.”
Like most typical politicians, Biden tried to spin his party’s previous support for the “defund the police” movement and pretend that Democrats are now the party of public safety, despite the fact that Biden’s own vice president donated to an organization that handed out bail money to rioters and looters during the summer of 2020.
And now, Biden wants to pretend that by advocating for massive gun control, Democrats are in fact the party that supports the police.
But in just one sentence, Biden’s words about gun control ended up coming back to haunt him.
“We’re living in a country awash in weapons of war,” Biden said. “For God’s sake, what’s the rationale for these weapons outside of a war zone?”
Not only do millions of Americans own guns that Biden describes as “weapons of war,” but so do hundreds of thousands of voters in Pennsylvania.
And for Biden to equate those Americans to the rioters who burned down cities in the summer of 2020 is to court electoral disaster for Democrats in November.
The fact that Biden felt comfortable admitting that he thinks the government should ban the most commonly-owned rifle in the country, in the number one swing state for control of the US Senate in November, shows just how far to the Left his party has moved in recent years.
But only time will tell what sort of electoral price Biden’s party will pay for admitting these plans.
