Hillary Clinton looks like she is laying the groundwork to push Joe Biden aside and run for president in 2024.
Americans got further confirmation that is the case.
And Bill Clinton made this major announcement that showed Hillary Clinton is running in 2024.
After a six-year hiatus, the Clinton Foundation is bringing back the Clinton Global Initiative this fall.
Former President Bill Clinton made the announcement on social media.
“Cooperation and coordination has never been more urgent than it is now,” former President Bill Clinton posted on Twitter. “The COVID-19 pandemic has ripped the cover off of longstanding inequities and vulnerabilities across our global community. The existential threat of climate change grows every day.”
The stated purpose of the Clinton Global Initiative was to allow celebrities, business leaders and politicians to gather in one setting and pledge grants to solve problems around the world.
“Rather than directly implementing projects, CGI facilitates action by helping members connect, collaborate, and develop Commitments to Action — new, specific, and measurable plans that address global challenges,” the Clinton Global Initiative says of its mission statement.
Clinton’s announcement of the return of the Clinton Global Initiative was part of Hillary Clinton’s expected campaign stump speech about democracy being under threat.
“Democracy is under assault around the world, most glaringly in Ukraine where Russia has launched an unjustified and unprovoked invasion that has put millions of lives in grave danger,” Clinton stated. “The number of displaced people and refugees worldwide is higher than it has ever been—more than one in 95 of all people alive on the planet today has been forced to flee their home—and rising.
“Just like the world we’re living in, the September meeting will likely look different than the ones we held before. But what will not be different is the spirit that has driven CGI from the very beginning—the idea that we can accomplish more together than we can apart,” former President Clinton added.
The Clinton Global Initiative – as well as the Clinton Foundation – essentially served as an influence-selling operation where foreign governments and business leaders pumped money into the Clintons’ foundation in the hopes of opening doors to Hillary Clinton’s prospective administration.
The fact that the Clintons are bringing back the Clinton Global Initiative is yet another sign that Hillary Clinton is putting the pieces in place for a White House campaign.
Joe Biden will be 82 years old in 2024.
Biden’s advanced age, clear cognitive decline, and dreadful polling numbers make it clear to everyone that Biden will not run for re-election and Democrats will need a new candidate to take on Donald Trump.
And each day it becomes clearer that Hillary Clinton believes she will be that candidate.
