For months, the so-called “mainstream” media smeared Donald Trump for his claim that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower.
A bombshell report revealed Trump was right.
Now, one Deep State operative confessed Obama did one sick thing with his spying.
When news broke that Obama spied on former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort by obtaining two secret FISA warrants before and after the election, Trump supporters immediately pointed out this vindicated Trump’s claim Obama spied on Trump Tower.
During the period in which Manafort was under surveillance, he maintained an office and residence in Trump Tower.
This led to immediate speculation that Trump himself was caught up in Obama’s wiretaps.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper appeared on CNN and said it was very likely that Obama’s spying collected conversations involving Trump.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper suggested on Wednesday that “it’s possible” that President Trump’s voice was picked up in a wiretap as he spoke with his former campaign manager Paul Manafort.
“It’s certainly conceivable,” Clapper said on CNN.
When asked by host Don Lemon if it was likely, Clapper said he couldn’t say, but again asserted that there is a chance.
“I wouldn’t want to go there, but I will say it’s possible,” Clapper said.
Clapper was likely slow-playing what he really knew.
During the time period in which the Obama administration wiretapped Manafort, he and Trump were in regular communication.
It would be impossible for Trump not to have shown up on the intercepts of Manafort’s communications.
Judge Andrew Napolitano echoed this sentiment on Fox News.
He also questioned if the Obama administration pursued the wiretaps in order to help Hillary Clinton.
Mediaite reports:
Enter Judge Andrew Napolitano to the Fox & Friends curvy couch to provide his judicial insight from his uniquely (and self-described) Libertarian point of view. Despite the fact that very little is still known about the Manafort wiretap and broader investigation, Napolitano suggested a few reasons that might be at play.
“Were they listening to Paul Manafort during the campaign in order to find out what Donald Trump was going to do next in the campaign and help Hillary?” opined Napolitano. Or, as he followed up, “were they listening to Paul Manafort because they thought he had committed a crime?” before sticking the landing with “were they listening to Paul Manafort because they were looking for something with which to tarnish the future president?”
Obama has a history of unleashing the powers of the federal government on his opponents.
The IRS targeted Tea Party groups for harassment in an effort to squash conservative opposition to Obama and the Democrats.
So it would surprise no one if Obama was spying on Trump and his campaign in an effort to push Hillary Clinton over the finish line.
