Conservatives fought against the Democrats’ smear campaign to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Now Kavanaugh may be responsible for one of the biggest disasters in American history.
And that’s because Brett Kavanaugh just double-crossed Trump supporters with this secret decision.
The Supreme Court disappointed Trump supporters by refusing to hear a challenge from New York health care workers suing to stop the state’s vaccine mandate on the grounds that it did not contain a religious exemption.
It takes four justices to vote to grant a writ of certiorari and only Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch authored a dissent disagreeing with the decision not to hear this case.
That means both Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett sided with the court’s four liberals to reject this urgent challenge to an un-American vaccine mandate.
Barrett and Kavanaugh – again – selling out conservatives to vote for the left delivered a gut punch to those on the right that stood up for them in the confirmation hearings when Democrats tried some of the ugliest smear tactics in American history.
Democrats produced multiple women to level false allegations of sexual assault against Kavanaugh and at one time liberals tried to make an issue out of Barrett’s Catholic faith.
Now New York state health care workers face the decision of violating their deeply held religious views or losing their job at a time when hospital systems around the country are suffering from staffing shortages due in large part to tyrannical vaccine mandates.
A Centers for Disease Control survey of 2,000 hospital systems in September found 30 percent of the workers refused the coronavirus vaccine.
In his dissent, Justice Neil Gorsuch blasted the majority for refusing to take up this case in which Gorsuch argued the state of New York imposed a clearly unconstitutional vaccine mandate because it infringed upon the free exercise of religion.
“We do all this even though the State’s executive decree clearly interferes with the free exercise of religion—and does so seemingly based on nothing more than fear and anger at those who harbor unpopular religious beliefs,” Gorsuch declared.
Gorsuch ripped the state of New York and his fellow justices for treating believers that work in health care as pariahs and expendable because secular society views their religious beliefs as weird even though the media and politicians spent the last 18 months hailing nurses, doctors and other medical first responders as heroes for their work during the pandemic.
“We allow the State to insist on the dismissal of thousands of medical workers—the very same individuals New York has depended on and praised for their service on the pandemic’s front lines over the last 21 months,” Gorsuch added. “To add insult to injury, we allow the State to deny these individuals unemployment benefits too. One can only hope today’s ruling will not be the final chapter in this grim story.”
When President Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court conservatives expected they would stand strong on core American values like religious liberty.
Instead, critics contend Barrett and Kavanaugh are afraid of CNN and other corporate media outlets smearing them as “anti-vaxxers” if they defend the right for Americans of faith to opt out of mandatory vaccination on religious grounds.
