Democrats have a clear plan in place in their goal of stopping Trump.
They’ve been working towards that goal every day.
And it’s about to kick into overdrive because of one thing Chuck Schumer just did.
Chuck Schumer’s Plan To Stop Trump’s SCOTUS Pick
As the highest ranking Democrat in the Senate, Chuck Schumer has an important job.
It is his job to implement the Democrat’s agenda to get rid of Trump.
To do that, they must also stop his Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Should Kavanaugh be confirmed, it means bad news for the left.
But Chuck Schumer has a plan to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Democrats are constantly getting in the way of confirmation hearings.
Dozens of protesters have interrupted the hearings on a daily basis.
They are also running massive programs to flip the Senators still on the fence for Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
By all accounts, it seems that Schumer is doing a good job for Democrats.
But the far-left doesn’t agree.
Schumer’s Fool’s Errand
Thirteen liberal groups have sent Schumer a letter to say he isn’t doing enough and is “failing” the progressive base.
This is extremely difficult for Schumer to hear.
He is doing everything he can to block Kavanaugh.
But in the end, all of his efforts have been useless.
Republicans are able to easily confirm Kavanaugh.
With Republicans having the numbers, and Trump leading the party, there is no way Democrats can stop them.
While they have a few dirty tricks up their sleeves, it won’t be enough.
One of those tricks is flooding the hearing with documents about Kavanaugh’s judicial record.
Over 900,000 pages of documents have been submitted.
In fact, more documents will be reviewed regarding Kavanaugh than the last five Justices combined.
And if Democrats have their way, there could be even more.
But in reality, all this will do is delay his confirmation.
Why Does Schumer Want To Delay?
Since it seems the Democrats have virtually zero chance at stopping Kavanaugh, some don’t understand why Schumer is wasting his time.
But if the Democrats can delay his confirmation until after the midterms, where they hope to win back the Senate, they will have more power in a Supreme Court fight.
It will be an uphill battle, but it’s all they’ve got.
And it will only get worse, especially with Schumer facing the heat.
