Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer mapped out a plan for Democrats to execute a complete socialist takeover of America.
That scheme just imploded.

Democrats’ ultimate goal is to eliminate all political opposition by passing mass amnesty to legislate themselves tens of millions of new voters, statehood for Washington, D.C. to stack their majority with two permanent Senate seats, pack the Supreme Court with as many as ten new liberal justices, and create universal mail-in voting and ballot harvesting.
But to turn America into a one-party state like Communist China, Democrats need to eliminate the filibuster.
That power grab requires all 50 Senate Democrats to vote to abolish the filibuster.
However, West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin shocked Democrats by declaring that he would never vote to trigger the nuclear option and eliminate the filibuster.
In an interview with the left-wing website Vox, Manchin explained that Democrats like Chuck Schumer should not have been surprised he opposes nuking the filibuster since he made his opposition clear in a Washington Post op-ed.
“The op-ed was as clear as it could be,” Manchin told Vox. “If you want to argue about it for two years, then you’re going to waste a lot of your energy and your time.”
Manchin added that the filibuster is the only thing standing between America and the complete collapse of its republican form of government.
“I truly believe in my heart of hearts, if we get rid of the filibuster, we would lose the purpose of this democracy, of this republic, which is for the people,” Manchin added. “Not on my watch is that gonna happen.”
“It might happen on somebody else’s watch,” Manchin continued. “God help us as a country if it does.”
Manchin described the filibuster as a restraining force that prevented temporary political majorities from running roughshod over their opposition.
“How in the world could you, with the tension we have right now, allow a voting bill to restructure the voting of America on a partisan line?” Manchin wondered.
Manchin explained that the passions of the moment are so great that if Democrats got rid of the filibuster and rammed their entire agenda down the country’s throat with just 51 votes, it could lead to civil war.
“I just believe with all my heart and soul that’s what would happen, and I’m not going to be part of it,” Manchin added.
But Joe Manchin says lots of things, and Joe Manchin rarely follows through.
Joe Manchin campaigned on being a pro-gun champion, but once in the Senate Manchin schemed with Barack Obama to pass a national gun registration database.
And it’s an open question about if Manchin’s love of the filibuster is just all talk.
