The left racked up a string of victories at the Supreme Court in recent weeks.
But liberals just got some bad news.
And that’s because Clarence Thomas handed Barack Obama the most embarrassing defeat of his life.
In his eight years in office, Barack Obama waged war on Christians.
Obamacare was one of the chief weapons that Obama and his left-wing allies wielded to persecute Christians.
One way the Obama administration oppressed believers was by forcing them to violate their biblical values by mandating employers provide birth control and abortion drugs as part of their company Obamacare plans.
The Obama administration mercilessly imposed this mandate on the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Obama wanted to send the message that no one – not even the most sympathetic and noncontroversial religious organization– could find safe harbor in his administration’s campaign to destroy the ability of Christians to freely exercise their beliefs.
After years of litigations and fake “compromises” while Obama was still in office, the case of Little Sisters of the Poor Saints Peter and Paul Home v. Pennsylvania reached the Supreme Court.
And the decision wasn’t even close.
The Little Sisters of the Poor – as well as Americans that believe religious liberty is a fundamental American value – won in a 7 to 2 decisive victory upholding regulations put in place by the Trump administration to end Obama’s war on religious freedom by allowing employers with sincere religious beliefs to opt out of Obamacare’s abortion drug and birth control mandate.
Obama and his anti-Christian foot soldiers were so clearly in the wrong that liberal justices Elena Kagan – who Obama appointed – and Stephen Breyer joined the court’s five Republican appointees in rebuking Obama.
“It is clear from the face of the statute that the contraceptive mandate is capable of violating [the religious freedom laws],” Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in the opinion for the majority.
Thomas argued that this is the final word on this matter.
“After two decisions from this Court and multiple failed regulatory attempts, the Federal Government has arrived at a solution that exempts the Little Sisters from the source of their complicity-based concerns—the administratively imposed contraceptive mandate,” Thomas wrote.
Liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fumed in her dissenting opinion.
“Today, for the first time, the Court casts totally aside countervailing rights and interests in its zeal to secure religious rights to the nth degree,” Ginsburg ranted.
Liberals like Ginsburg and Obama think the First Amendment only restricts the government from interfering with freedom of the press.
Leftists believe religious beliefs are something you practice for one hour on Sunday – and even the coronavirus showed that liberals will close churches on a moment’s notice – but have no place in broader society.
This defeat at the Supreme Court proved otherwise.
