The biggest question surrounding the upcoming midterm elections is which party will control Congress.
Whichever way the American people answer will determine the fate of Donald Trump’s Presidency.
And one closed-door meeting has revealed the shocking truth about an impeachment.
A Secret Recording Goes Public
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes spoke at a closed-door fundraiser for Washington Republican Cathy McMorris Rogers.
Rogers is an embattled incumbent and Nunes, by virtue of leading the fight against the Deep State, is an in-demand fundraising attraction.
Since Nunes has seen all the raw intelligence, the California Republican is well positioned to lead the charge against the Deep State attacks on Donald Trump.
Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC program obtained a covert audio tape of Nunes warning about what will happen should the Democrats win in November.
Nunes remarked that if the Democrats are swept into the majority, the cover-up of the FBI and Obama administration’s abuse of power in spying on the Trump campaign will be complete.
“It’s like your classic catch-22 situation. … This puts us in such a tough spot. If Sessions won’t unrecuse and Mueller won’t clear the president, we’re the only ones, which is really the danger,” Nunes declared.
The California Congressman continued, “I mean, we have to keep all these seats. We have to keep the majority. If we do not keep the majority, all of this goes away.”
A Pattern of Abuse
Nunes has uncovered a host of abuses by the FBI and Barack Obama’s Deep State.
Thanks to Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee, Americans now know the FBI used the fake news Christopher Steele dossier as the basis to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.
Republicans also uncovered the fact that the dossier was bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton and that the FBI misled the FISA court about this in their application to spy on Page.
And recently, bombshell emails show that the FBI was colluding with Steele well after they claim they had terminated him as a confidential human source.
Steele was passing on his findings to the FBI through Justice Department Official Bruce Ohr, whose wife had worked for Fusion GPS—the firm that contracted Steele to put together the dossier—on anti-Trump opposition research.
Not the Only Impeachment
The leaked recording also revealed Nunes supported the impeachment of Rod Rosenstein.
But Nunes believes it was wise to hold off on that front because the Senate needs to use its precious remaining floor time to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court before the new term starting October 1st.
“So if we actually vote to impeach, OK, what that does is that triggers the Senate then has to take it up,” Nunes began.
Nunes continued, “Well, and you have to decide what you want right now because the Senate only has so much time.”
“Do you want them to drop everything and not confirm the new Supreme Court justice?” Nunes concluded.
Maddow and other liberal journalists, of course, treated this recording as a bombshell.
But Nunes was just admitting a simple truth.
If the Democrats win in November, all the investigations into the Deep State’s abuses of power will go away.
