CNN is getting desperate trying to take back their praise of Donald Trump.
But nothing can change the words they said.
CNN fired off an ultimatum against the President that blew up in their faces.
The mainstream media have been highly critical of Donald Trump’s handling of the coronavirus crisis.
Some have claimed that every single American death from coronavirus is Donald Trump’s fault.
The death of 75,000 Americans is tragic but it was hardly preventable.
America’s economy basically shut down for a month and a half to prevent the spread.
Most of the powers for stay-at-home orders lie in the state governors’ hands.
The data doesn’t support the Democrats’ favorite line of attack that socialized medicine would save America.
Spain, the UK and France have all had widespread outbreaks of the Chinese coronavirus and have had twice the amount of deaths when adjusted for population.
Outside of the New York City outbreak, America in general has done a good job of keeping the outbreak under control.
New York was being overseen by the Democrats’ darling, Andrew Cuomo, who was ordering state-funded nursing homes to take in coronavirus patients.
This policy directly led to people dying.
Even CNN had to admit that the steps Trump took to stop the virus saved lives.
Trump took the unpopular step to ban travel with China in January.
President Trump highlighted this bold action in a recent campaign ad.
“My administration will take all necessary steps to safeguard our citizens from this threat,” the ad says, replaying Trump’s words from his State of the Union address on February 4th.
The video then shows Nancy Pelosi tearing up the speech and Biden accusing Trump of “xenophobia.”
Then came a clip from CNN of Wolf Blitzer and Dr. Sanjay Gupta discussing the social distancing steps Donald Trump approved that was followed by many states.
“Is it accurate that if these steps had not been put in place, it could have been 2 million people down here in the United States?” asks Blitzer. “Yes,” replied Gupta.
This video sent CNN through the roof and they sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Trump campaign saying it is “misleading.”
“A lawyer for CNN’s parent company WarnerMedia has written a cease-and-desist letter to President Trump’s re-election campaign over the misleading contents of a new campaign ad,” CNN stated on Monday. “WarnerMedia says the Trump ad is misusing CNN news coverage in a way that’s ‘false, misleading and deceptive.’”
“CNN hereby demands that you discontinue airing the advertisement with the CNN clip that has been distorted in such a way as to mislead the public.”
Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh responded, saying CNN “has now rejected multiple Trump ads that are demonstrably accurate.”
Since the media can’t actually object to Trump’s coronavirus response when confronted with his record, they try to make it harder for people to see his message.
Trump’s actions did save Americans’ lives and now he’s working to rebuild our economy.
