Fake news CNN finally bit off more than it could chew.
The network’s three-year war on President Trump reached a breaking point.
CNN picked this insane fight with Trump. How CNN lost will blow your mind.
The reason that Trump got elected was because people were tired of Republicans who felt the need to apologize to Democrats at every turn.
It’s clear that the left isn’t going to be friendly to Republicans no matter how much they apologize.
Obama said about small town voters that, “They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
He later went on to use the IRS to attack conservative groups and ask them to undergo additional screenings.
Bernie Sanders, who is a top contender for the Democratic nomination, refuses to fire a field organizer who said that Trump voters and billionaires should be reeducated in USSR-style gulags.
The Democrats want the Republicans to be polite while they kick below the belt.
But that’s not going to happen with President Trump.
CNN seems to think that Trump should apologize for the Ukrainian phone call now that he is expected to be acquitted.
“Trump not expected to apologize or admit any wrongdoing after anticipated acquittal,” a CNN headline read.
“[U]nlike the last President to be acquitted, don’t expect Trump to apologize or express any contrition for his conduct,” they moaned. “Instead, people close to the President say they anticipate he will claim vindication and continue to proclaim his complete and total innocence.”
CNN went on to complain that since Bill Clinton apologized after his impeachment, Trump should do the same.
However, the difference is that Bill Clinton lied under oath about having sex with a young unpaid intern to get a sexual harassment lawsuit from another lady thrown out in court.
There was no doubt that Clinton was guilty. The DNA evidence was there.
No one could deny that Bill Clinton had committed a crime and cheated on his wife, both things that he should apologize for.
Democrats only voted to impeach Trump because they assumed that he committed a crime because they were biased against him.
There is no evidence that Trump committed a crime much less an impeachable one.
Trump can’t be polite, apologize and say that the phone call to Ukraine was an error in judgement because if he did, CNN would just use his apology to attack him.
They would go on air and say that Trump had admitted his guilt and that the House should try and impeach him again.
“I don’t see the President making a big statement one way or another that would indicate anything different than what he’s been saying for many months,” a Republican told CNN.
If the left really wants to have a more civil discourse, they should start by apologizing to Trump and the American people for using impeachment as an underhanded attack.
But that probably isn’t happening any time soon.
