Joe Biden just got some bad news about the polls.
And it came from the last place he ever suspected.
CNN pointed out one fact about the polls that Joe Biden did not want to hear.
Joe Biden’s lead in the polls sits at about nine points.
But the foundation of that margin is not as strong as many would like to believe.
And it fell to none other than fake news CNN to point this out.
Fake news CNN polling analyst Harry Enten noted that since the George Floyd riots, Donald Trump is actually performing better with black voters now than he was four years ago against Hillary Clinton.
Enten wrote:
Biden leads in those polls by an 83% to 8%, or 75-point, margin. That, of course, is a huge advantage for Biden, but it also represents a small improvement for Trump since 2016.
Hillary Clinton was ahead of Trump by a 79-point margin among Black registered voters in the pre-election polls taken right before the 2016 election, as compiled by the New York Times’ Nate Cohn. Biden, for what it’s worth, is equaling Clinton’s 83% in those polls. Trump’s picking up a lot of the vote that went to third-party candidates.
These numbers are even more troublesome for Biden because even though Biden holds a significant lead in the polls, black voters – who are the bedrock of the Democrat Party coalition – are lukewarm at best towards his candidacy.
Enten noted that if the race tightened in the national polls, Biden’s margin with black voters would tighten ever further.
However, Enten underscored just how dangerous Biden’s position really was when he tried to claim it was actually good news for Biden he wasn’t doing as well with black voters.
“The good electoral news for Biden, however, is that there are a lot more White voters in the country than either Black or Hispanic voters. Moreover, White voters also make up a disproportionate share of the electorate in the swing states, especially in the Great Lake battleground states. This helps to explain why Biden’s doing quite well nationally and in those particular swing states,” Enten wrote.
The polls show Trump has lost ground with white voters that supported him in 2016.
These are the voters the President has an opportunity to win back.
If President Trump brings these voters back into the fold, his improved margins with black voters could prove decisive in states like Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania that are vital to the President’s re-election campaign.
While Joe Biden may lead in the polls, there are red flags that indicate Biden may be in a more dangerous position than many in the fake news and Democrats may realize.
