When President Trump called the media the “enemy of the American people,” he angered many powerful people.
It was that statement that truly infuriated the media.
And now they are letting their anger out after announcing a plan to collude with each other to defeat Trump, and over 100 newspapers are involved.
A Coordinated Attack
To the media, the best way to prove that they don’t have an anti-Trump bias seems to be launching a coordinated propaganda attack against Trump.
A campaign, led by the Boston Globe, will result in over 100 newspapers launching anti-Trump editorials on the same day later this week.
The anti-Trump editorials will go after President Trump’s attacks on the media.
After he referred to them as the “enemy of the American people,” the media have made it their goal to force him to back down from the claim, but they have not been successful.
So in response, they are ramping up their anti-Trump propaganda.
The Boston Globe reached out to news outlets across the country with their plan to coordinate attacks recently, resulting in 100 newspapers agreeing to join them.
While many of the papers are small, localized papers, some of the papers are massive and spread across metropolitan areas, like the Houston Chronicle, Miami Herald, and Denver Post.
The attacks themselves are not the same and will be written by each paper, but the theme of all of them is the exact same.
In the appeal, the Boston Globe laid out exactly what they were planning on doing, stating:
“We propose to publish an editorial on August 16 on the dangers of the administration’s assault on the press and ask others to commit to publishing their own editorials on the same date.”
The statement is a complaint about Trump’s rhetoric against the media, but much like the complaints from many in the media, it doesn’t address Trump’s concerns.
The Media’s War On Trump
While the media loves to complain about Trump attacking them, they either don’t understand or don’t care why he does.
President Trump has had concerns with the media for a long time, and it entirely has to do with their unfairness to him, and anybody who challenges the establishment.
After announcing his run for president, the media had a series of attacks on different points in his campaign.
At the start, the media dismissed and laughed at him.
Once he started gaining steam they began all-out attacking him to force him out before he could become more powerful.
They claimed that he was racist, a sexist, and all kinds of other attacks designed to take him down.
But Trump didn’t back down, and instead used his own mediums, like Twitter to make it clear to the people directly that the media isn’t being truthful.
He began referring to them as “fake news,” which caused an immense uproar among the media, while his supporters loved it.
Trump proved that his supporters side with him more than the media, and that’s the real reason the media hates him so much.
Do you think that the mainstream media is “fake news”?
