Donald Trump has been on a mission to see that the Deep State leakers be brought to justice.
These saboteurs within the government illegally fed the press classified information to try and destroy the Trump administration.
But now the leakers have been caught in the act and all hell is breaking loose.
The Inspector General’s report into the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton mishandling classified information is like peeling back an onion.
The latest layer unearthed was the number of contacts between FBI agents and the media.
These led to the fabled “Deep State” leaks that have so infuriated Donald Trump.
But the leaking was even worse than anyone thought.
There were so many FBI agents leaking to reporters that investigators couldn’t even determine which agents were feeding what information to the press.
Horowitz wrote:
“…we found that this policy appeared to be widely ignored during the period we reviewed.221 We identified numerous FBI employees, at all levels of the organization and with no official reason to be in contact with the media, who were nevertheless in frequent contact with reporters. The large number of FBI employees who were in contact with journalists during this time period impacted our ability to identify the sources of leaks. For example, during the periods we reviewed, we identified dozens of FBI employees that had contact with members of the media. Attached to this report as Attachments G and H are link charts that reflects the volume of communications that we identified between FBI employees and media representatives in April/May and October 2016.”

To make matters worse, Horowitz’s team found reporters were bribing agents for information with food, booze, and tickets to sporting events:
“In addition, we identified instances where FBI employees improperly received benefits from reporters, including tickets to sporting events, golfing outings, drinks and meals, and admittance to nonpublic social events.”
There is no doubt the leaking and colluding with journalists got even worse as the FBI turned from the Clinton investigation to the Trump-Russia collusion probe.
Both groups – journalists and high ranking FBI officials – hated Donald Trump and made it their mission to destroy him.
Horowitz will not turn his attention to that investigation.
And his report should produce even more bombshell evidence of illegal leaks and contact with reporters that violated FBI protocol.
The Russia investigation has seen the motherlode of leaks and fake news.
It will be interesting to see how involved the FBI’s Deep State leakers were in purposefully spreading false information to the media in order to drive an anti-Trump narrative.
And critics will be curious to see if reporters continued to bribe their sources with nights out on the town, alcohol, and sporting events to ply information from FBI agents.
This scandal surrounding the FBI’s silent coup against Trump has one common thread – just when you think it can’t get any worse, a new bombshell drops revealing the conspirators were involved in even more sinister attacks on American democracy than previously thought.
The new developments about FBI agents leaking so many times to reporters that investigators couldn’t even keep track is just the latest and saddest example of a rogue FBI run amok.
