Democrats are dreading a Donald Trump political comeback in 2024.
Now their fears are growing by the day.
And Democrats just learned some really bad news about Donald Trump.
Polls show Donald Trump leading Joe Biden in a 2024 rematch.
Democrats’ hope was that the Manhattan attorney general would stop Donald Trump from running for president by charging Trump with financial crimes.
Those dreams died when the Manhattan district attorney gave up and admitted there was no case.
That left Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 witch hunt committee as the last hope to block Trump from running by indictment.
But former RINO Congressman Denver Riggleman – who is currently working as a staffer on the January 6 committee – admitted to CNN that the committee was unsure if they had evidence of any criminal activity on Trump’s part.
CNN’s left-wing entertainer Brianna Keilar asked Riggleman if the committee had evidence Trump broke the law on January 6.
Riggleman demurred and claimed the committee only had evidence to tell a story stating:
I think there’s certainly evidence of communications that led to certain types of activities that could lead to what I call coup-like movements, right? And that’s the thing that the committee and the challenge of the committee has right now is how do you put all of the data and all these interviews together to present a story.
The biggest challenge we have … is how do we compete with the story of fantasy? How do we compete with that compelling sort of fantastical apocalyptic conspiracy theory we have to take over the government or deep state or globalists or QAnon. Facts are boring. And I think the thing that we have to do is we have to be able to present those facts in a compelling way, and to merge that data with the amazing amount of interviews and I’d say the expertise of each of the committee investigative teams.
That was enough for Keilar.
“Is there evidence of crimes by the former president, do you think?” Keilar pressed.
Riggleman’s answer was sure to let down left-wing activists like Keilar and her compatriots in the corporate media.
“I don’t know,” Riggleman shot back.
The January 6 witch hunt committee is set to hold primetime show trial hearings starting next week.
One goal of this committee is to produce a political narrative about Republicans being the party of sedition and insurrection to boost Democrats’ chances to hold on to the House of Representatives and the Senate.
But the other goal – and really the true purpose of the committee – is to serve as a third impeachment of Donald Trump and produce criminal charges that will take Trump off the 2024 playing field.
