For two years Democrats refused to give an inch.
But suddenly liberals gave in.
And Democrats just waved the white flag of surrender in a fight that no one saw coming.
Ever since March 2020 Democrats claimed opposing mask mandates amounted to killing grandma.
Social media companies censored anyone that questioned the efficacy of masks.
But now with Joe Biden’s poll numbers tanking and Democrats in serious jeopardy of losing their majorities in both chambers of Congress, Democrat governors around the country suddenly executed a pivot and began dropping mask mandates.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy – who imposed one of the most tyrannical COVID regimes in America – announced the end of the state requiring masks in schools next month.
“The overwhelming sentiment on both sides of the aisle,” Murphy added that, “we want to get to a place where we can live with this thing in as normal a fashion as possible.”
In interviews Murphy could not provide any data proving mask mandates worked to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Murphy could not provide any data to prove mask mandates work because there is no data.
Cloth masks do not stop the spread of the virus.
Democrat governors around the country quickly followed suit and announced the end of indoor mask mandates.
“Now is the time for us to say, the statewide mask mandate is no longer at our level,” Connecticut Democrat Ned Lamont announced in ending the school mask mandate. “Each and every mayor, each and every superintendent can make that call themselves. I recommend the date Feb. 28.”
Delaware Governor John Carney also pulled the plug mandating masks.
“The March 31 date also allows districts and schools time to consider local mask requirements, and gives the Division of Public Health (DPH) and the Department of Education (DOE) time to work with schools on updates to quarantine and contact tracing guidance,” a statement from Carney read.
Finally, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced his state’s mask mandate would come to an end.
NEW: CA’s case rate has decreased by 65% since our Omicron peak. Our hospitalizations have stabilized across the state.
Our statewide indoor mask requirement will expire on 2/15.
Unvaccinated people will still need to wear masks indoors.
Get vaccinated. Get boosted.

Newsom ended the mandate one week after being photographed maskless with Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson at the NFC Championship game.
The science didn’t change.
What changed is the polls showing Democrats on the verge of a wipeout in November.
And that’s why blue state governors pivoted away from mask mandates after two years of claiming wearing them was a moral necessity.
