Fake news CNN finally met their match.
After years of smearing and lying about President Trump to try and drive him from office, CNN got smacked with some really bad news.
And that’s because Devin Nunes unleashed one secret weapon that could take CNN off the air.
Fake news CNN bit off more than they could chew when the pro-Democrat cable network published a story claiming Devin Nunes traveled to Ukraine to meet with Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin to gather political dirt on Joe Biden.
Shokin was the prosecutor investigating Burisma – the corrupt Ukrainian energy company paying Biden’s son Hunter $83,000 per month – that Biden blackmailed the Ukrainian government into firing.
Indicted Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas was the source for this fantastical story.
Nunes blasted the story as false and warned that after the Thanksgiving holiday, fake news CNN would face a reckoning.
Sure enough, Nunes was true to his word and the California Congressman filed a $435 million dollar defamation lawsuit against fake news CNN.
“CNN is the mother of fake news. It is the least trusted name. CNN is eroding the fabric of America, proselytizing, sowing distrust and disharmony. It must be held accountable,” Nunes’ lawsuit read.
In the lawsuit, Nunes claimed that Parnas and his attorney fed a line of bull to the fake news media and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff in hopes of winning immunity after federal prosecutors charged Parnas with campaign finance violations.
“It was obvious to everyone – including disgraceful CNN – that Parnas was a fraudster and a hustler,” the lawsuit argued. “It was obvious that his lies were part of a thinly-veiled attempt to obstruct justice and to trick either the United States Attorney or House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Adam Schiff into offering ‘immunity’ in return for ‘information’ about [Nunes].”
Nunes’s lawyers argued that CNN published a knowingly false story to help the Democrats’ impeachment witch hunt out of their hatred for President Trump.
“The ulterior purpose of the CNN Article is to advance the impeachment inquiry, to seed doubt in the minds of Americans, and to influence the outcome of the 2020 election,” Nunes’s lawyers claimed.
In the lawsuit, Nunes cited the long history of CNN publishing fake news stories to smear Republicans.
“CNN harbors an institutional hatred, extreme bias, spite and ill-will towards Plaintiff, the GOP and President Trump, going back many years. CNN is notorious for making false claims about Republicans and publishing fake news that later has to be retracted,” the suit said.
Fake news CNN retracted a story about former Trump associate Anthony Scaramucci being under investigation for his involvement with a Russian fund.
CNN also ran fake news stories about James Comey contradicting President Trump’s claim that James Comey told him three times that he was not under investigation as well as Donald Trump, Jr. having advanced knowledge of the WikiLeaks email dumps.
Finally, Nunes argued that fake news CNN rushed the story into publication because of the effective job Nunes did in exposing the Democrats’ Ukraine impeachment witch hunt for the hoax that it is.
“The CNN Article was nothing less than opposition research. CNN rushed to get the story out in order to blunt the disastrous spectacle of the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, and to hurt the leader of the Republican opposition. CNN misrepresented facts and oversimplified issues in promoting the fake news story.”
Fake news CNN acted for years as the communications shop for the Democrat Party.
The network routinely lies about President Trump and his supporters because libel laws create a high bar for public figures to bring lawsuits.
But Nunes finally had enough of CNN’s blatant abuse of their trust as a news network to knowingly lie on behalf of the Democrat Party and their political agenda and is fighting back.
