President Trump checked in to Walter Reed on Friday to receive treatment for the coronavirus.
Americans waited to hear how his recovery progressed.
And then Donald Trump announced he was leaving the hospital. And then all hell broke loose.
The President alerted Americans that he would be leaving the hospital after a weekend of treatment and that he was feeling well.
President Trump tried to reassure the public that they should not live in fear of the coronavirus and that the nation would defeat the virus.
“Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!” the President posted on Twitter.
Fake news CNN’s Jake Tapper lost his mind at the suggestion that Americans should not hide under their beds and cower in fear of COVID-19.
“Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Americans mourning them. 7.4 million Americans have contracted the disease. Many of them are going to have health problems for the rest of their life. For President Trump who gets the best medical care: ‘Don’t let it dominate your life.’ There are children who don’t have parents now because of this virus! Don’t let it dominate your life?!” Tapper ranted.
“But anybody out there who’s lost somebody to the virus or is grappling with it or has somebody in their life who is grappling with it because I know young, healthy people who had this virus, who are still not fully recovered and may never be because of the damage to their lungs. I just want them to know there are plenty of us out here who understand that it’s okay to be afraid of Covid,” Tapper added.
Tapper then claimed it was OK to live in fear and floated a conspiracy theory that dexamethasone – a steroid doctors administered as part of the President’s treatment – unbalanced Donald Trump’s brain chemistry leading to this tweet.
“It’s ok that it’s dominating your life because it has dominated your life! And the idea that the President of the United States is out there, because he feels fine, maybe it’s because of a steroid I don’t know, saying this, is so disrespectful to you and I just want you to know you’re not alone if you’re out there, just shocked that this kind of callous indifference would be relayed by the person who is actually charged with protecting you from this virus,” Tapper added.
What Tapper and others in the fake news media are so enraged about is that Donald Trump recovered from the coronavirus despite falling in a category of Americans most at risk to a bad outcome.
