Donald Trump and Barack Obama brawled for years over the Presidency and the direction of American politics.
On one major fight there was finally a winner.
And Donald Trump dealt Barack Obama this final humiliating defeat.
Barack Obama always had it out for Lt. General Michael Flynn.
Obama fired Flynn as the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2014 because Flynn told the truth about the threat of radical Islam.
When Obama tried to sabotage President-elect Trump’s transition after the 2016 election Obama told Trump not to hire Flynn and when Trump moved to make Flynn his National Security Advisor, Obama saw in a January 5 Oval Office meeting where they discussed using the 1799 Logan Act to frame Flynn for being a Russian spy.
Obama thought he finally won his war to destroy Flynn when Robert Mueller forced Flynn to plead guilty to lying to the FBI.
But Flynn maintained he had been railroaded by the FBI and an independent review from a career prosecutor from the Department of Justice found the original FBI interview was flawed and Flynn moved to withdraw his guilty plea.
However, a vengeful judge that wanted to see Flynn ruined fought the Justice Department and refused to agree to withdraw the guilty plea.
With time running out President Trump stepped in and ended Obama’s crusade to destroy Flynn by issuing Lt. General Flynn a pardon.
“It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon. Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!” the President wrote.
Conservatives praised the decision.
“President Trump’s decision Wednesday to pardon former national security adviser Michael Flynn is an overdue act of justice that ends four years of political harassment, unjustified prosecution and judicial abuse. If it sounds like we feel strongly about this one, you’re right,” the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board wrote.
“Even after new exculpatory details surfaced &DOJ dropped charges, judge made mockery of Flynn trial +dragged it out 2delay justice It shldnt hv taken presidential pardon 2deliver justice for decorated American hero but we can b thankful that Flynn is finally free,” Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley posted on social media.
The two Democrats that spearheaded the impeachment hoax, House Intelligence Committee Chairman California Congressman Adam Schiff and House Judiciary Committee Chairman New York Congressman Jerry Nadler, whined about the defeat.
”Donald Trump has repeatedly abused the pardon power to reward friends and protect those who covered up for him,” Schiff wrote on social media. ”This time he pardons Michael Flynn, who lied to hide his dealings with the Russians. It’s no surprise that Trump would go out as he came in — Crooked to the end.”
“This pardon is undeserved, unprincipled, and one more stain on President Trump’s rapidly diminishing legacy,” Nadler added.
The prosecution of Michael Flynn was one of the most unjust abuses of power in American history.
Obama and his Deep State allies sought to frame a military veteran with a decorated 33-year career as a traitorous spy for a hostile foreign government out of personal revenge for a policy dispute.
President Trump squashed this un-American crusade to bankrupt Lt. General Flynn, destroy his reputation and ultimately imprison him.
