The world sits at the edge of World War Three.
Russian President Vladimir Putin set events in motion with an invasion of Ukraine.
And now Donald Trump dropped a truth bomb about Russia that proved one thing about Joe Biden.
Vladimir Putin triggered the biggest conflict in Europe since World War Two by ordering an all-out invasion of Ukraine.
Putin desires re-establishing the old Soviet empire and seized Ukraine as the lynchpin of an expansionist strategy to impose Russian dominance over Eastern Europe.
As the invasion began, Donald Trump appeared on Laura Ingraham’s show and expressed regret at the state of affairs in America and around Europe.
Trump told Ingraham that Putin invading Russia never would have happened while he had been in office pointing to the fact that Putin stayed within his own borders during the four years of the Trump administration.
“This is something that should have never happened,” Trump stated. “This would not have happened during my administration. In fact, some people were saying, why didn’t this take place over the past four years during my administration? And it didn’t for a very good reason. I’ll explain that to you someday. But it wouldn’t have taken place, and it wouldn’t have taken place right now. It’s a very sad thing for the world, the country, and it is certainly sad for a lot of people that are going to be needlessly killed.”
Trump also told Ingraham that he imposed the harshest sanctions on Russia when he slapped sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline that Putin intended to use to hook Germany into dependence on Russian natural gas.
Biden lifted those sanctions upon taking office and then pressured Democrats to defeat legislation from Texas Senator Ted Cruz to reimpose the pipeline sanctions.
“I do know him, and I do know him very well,” Trump added. “We’ve had many, many times together. I got along with him fantastically despite the fact that I shut down Nord Stream 2. Nobody would have heard of Nord Stream 2 if it weren’t for me. I’m the one that shut it down, and I’m the one that told Angela [Merkel] you’re doing a terrible thing by doing this, and they were going to get 75%, not 30% — 75% of their energy from Nord Stream 2. It was ridiculous.”
Many critics believe Putin interpreted Biden removing the sanctions on Nord Stream 2 as a sign that America was not serious about stopping Russian expansion.
Observers also believe Putin viewed the horrifically executed withdrawal from Afghanistan as another sign Biden was a bungler in foreign affairs.
Donald Trump stated this never would have happened on his watch.
As evidence, Trump points to the four years he spent in office where Putin did not invade any neighboring countries.
