Many pundits believe Donald Trump will announce a 2024 re-election campaign after this November’s midterm election.
Everyone is wondering if Trump can win.
But Donald Trump has one trick up his sleeves that will guarantee victory in 2024.
One of the biggest problems in presidential elections is the debates.
The allegedly “nonpartisan” Commission on Presidential Debates rigs every contest against the GOP.
The commission claims to be nonpartisan but that is a lie.
In reality, any institution described as “nonpartisan” really leans left because the half of membership that are Democrats always consists of hardcore ideologues while the “Republicans” that sit on the commission are always RINOs and liberals and never anyone that supports the conservative movement or values.
The Republican National Committee plans to combat the debate bias by passing a resolution that any Republican candidate running in the 2024 primary must pledge to skip any debates sanctioned by the commission.
“Republican committee officials alerted the debate commission to their plans in a letter sent on Thursday, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times. If the change goes forward, it would be one of the most substantial shifts in how presidential and vice-presidential debates have been conducted since the commission began organizing debates more than 30 years ago,” The New York Times reported.
The commission responded by trying to dismiss the Republican National Committee’s complaints.
“The C.P.D. deals directly with candidates for President and Vice President who qualify for participation,” the commission’s statement read. “The C.P.D.’s plans for 2024 will be based on fairness, neutrality and a firm commitment to help the American public learn about the candidates and the issues.”
Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel was not happy with the commission’s response.
“So long as the C.P.D. appears intent on stonewalling the meaningful reforms necessary to restore its credibility with the Republican Party as a fair and nonpartisan actor, the R.N.C. will take every step to ensure that future Republican presidential nominees are given that opportunity elsewhere,” Chairwoman McDaniel wrote in response.
Conservatives clamored for years for Republicans to ditch the commission-sanctioned debates due to the fact that the commission always selects left-wing partisans to moderate the debates.
In 2012, CNN’s Candy Crowley fact-checked Mitt Romney in real time coming to Barack Obama’s defense over Romney’s attack on how Obama responded to the Benghazi terrorist attack.
Romney won the first debate convincingly and had Romney won the second debate even the Obama campaign admitted Romney may have won the election.
Instead, Crowley’s “fact-check” threw Obama a lifeline.
After the debate – when it long since mattered – Crowley admitted Romney was correct in his overall point.
In 2016 the commission refused to let the Trump campaign sit women who credibly accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault and harassment next to former President Clinton.
The commission also admitted to fiddling around with Trump’s microphone after one of the debates.
And in 2020, liberal journalist Chris Wallace repeatedly teamed up with Joe Biden against Trump turning the debate into a two-on-one affair.
The Republican National Committee drawing a hardline on the commission’s debate format suggests that Republicans believe Trump will run for president, secure the nomination and refuse to participate in rigged debates.
Joe Biden’s poll numbers are in the toilet and his administration failed on every front.
A stacked deck debate might be the Democrats’ only chance for victory in 2024.
And now Trump and the Republican National Committee see the game the left is playing is looking to cut them off at the pass.
