There’s no one the mainstream media hates more than Donald Trump.
But in spite of the Left’s onslaught, Trump continues to fight back.
And now, Trump just launched one shocking lawsuit against CNN that left jaws on the floor.
Donald Trump has been the target of the left-wing media for over six years.
Even before he became president, it was clear that the mainstream media hated him.
And now, Trump remains the center of attention for most outlets as he prepares to possibly stage a political comeback of the ages.
That’s why politically-biased outlets like CNN continue to focus almost exclusively on negative stories centered around Trump, as the Left knows he remains a major threat to their agenda.
But unlike many other Republicans who have spent years simply taking the media’s abuse, Trump is fighting back like never before.
And now, he’s launched one massive lawsuit against CNN that no one saw coming.
MSN reports, “Former president Donald Trump sued CNN on Monday, alleging defamation and seeking $475 million in punitive damages, a move that escalates his conflict with U.S. news organizations that have critically reported on his career.
“The 29-page lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, alleges that CNN took part in a ‘campaign of dissuasion in the form of libel and slander’ that ‘escalated in recent months’ because the network feared Trump would again run for president. The lawsuit took issue with CNN’s use of the words ‘racist’ and ‘insurrectionist,’ as well as associations made between the former president and Adolf Hitler.”
It’s clear that CNN has it out for Trump.
They and many other left-wing media outlets have spent years trying to destroy his reputation, his career, and his presidency.
That’s why Trump is launching this lawsuit, because unless someone stands up to CNN, they will continue to malign conservatives as they have been for years.
While the outcome of Trump’s lawsuit against CNN remains to be seen, one thing is clear.
The mainstream media’s attacks on Trump have gone too far.
Platforms like CNN can no longer claim they simply report the news. They are now actively attempting to destroy the Republican Party, all in service to advancing the Left’s agenda.
“His lawyers must show that CNN made false remarks about Trump that were presented as fact, and that the network had knowledge of the false remarks or a reckless disregard for the truth,” adds MSN.
“Trump’s lawyers argue in the suit that CNN labeled Trump in ways that are ‘neither hyperbolic nor opinion,’ and that the channel acted with ‘real animosity’ to cause him ‘true harm.’”
The outcome of this CNN lawsuit, just like Trump’s similar suits against other left-wing news organizations, could determine what sort of treatment conservatives will continue to experience from the mainstream media for decades to come.
Should Trump fail, they may feel vindicated to continue to smear their opposition.
But if Trump succeeds, it may force outlets to be less explicitly biased in their opinionated reporting of conservatives across the country.
