Democrats are looking to blame Trump for everything that has happened.
But the truth puts President Trump in a far different position.
Donald Trump said three important words every American needs to hear.
Mob justice is never justice and political protests should remain peaceful.
No matter how the left tacitly allows political violence that harms innocent people, Republicans should never descend to their level.
The criminals who stormed the Capitol are and must always be thoroughly condemned for their violence which injured over a dozen innocent police who were doing their job.
Trump said that the protesters should “go home” and “stay peaceful” yet many are claiming that he incited the violence.
In a video released Thursday, Trump said that he was “outraged by the violence, lawlessness, and mayhem.”
“The demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy,” he said. “To those who engage in the acts of violence and destruction, you do not represent our country.”
Trump added that those who broke laws “will pay.”
However, what the Democrats and the mainstream media are now trying to do is say that everyone who believes that there was election fraud is the same as the violent protesters who stormed the Capitol.
The political director for ABC News based in Washington, D.C., Rick Klein, wrote on Twitter, “Trump will be an ex-president in 13 days. The fact is that getting rid of Trump is the easy part. Cleansing the movement he commands is going to be something else.”
The left is also trying to claim that Donald Trump is directly responsible for the violence.
Washington, D.C.’s leading federal prosecutor said that he has not ruled out charging despite the fact that Trump has agreed to “an orderly transfer.”
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition of power on January 20th,” Trump said in the statement. “I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it is only the beginning of our fight to make America great again.”
Trump said that his focus for the rest of his presidency would be the smooth transition of power.
“Now, Congress has certified the votes. A new administration will be inaugurated on Jan. 20,” Trump said. “Serving as your president has been the honor of my lifetime, and to all of my wonderful supporters, I know you are disappointed, but I also want you to know that our incredible journey is only just beginning.”
