The jury acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse of all charges.
Many Americans cheered this development.
And now Donald Trump said two words about Kyle Rittenhouse that will leave you speechless.
Hours after a jury acquitted Rittenhouse of charges that could have landed Rittenhouse in prison for the rest of his life, Donald Trump discussed the case with Laura Ingraham in an interview on her Fox News TV show.
“I think that it was a great decision,” Trump said praising the decision.
Had prosecutors won a conviction after clear evidence of Black Lives Matter rioters beating Rittenhouse in the head with a skateboard, chasing him and pointing a gun at him, it would have gutted the Second Amendment and the right to self-defense.
Donald Trump mentioned a complaint that millions of Americans – that actually watched the trialand who did not rely on the dishonest corporate media for details – raised in that Judge Schroeder should have dismissed all charges against Rittenhouse and not even allowed the case to get to the jury.
“I was surprised it had to go this far. Somebody should have ended it earlier. Frankly, the case should have never been brought,” Donald Trump stated.
The most cited example of evidence that should have seen the judge dismiss the charges came when Black Lives Matter rioter Gaige Grosskreutz testified that he pointed his gun at Rittenhouse prior to Rittenhouse shooting him in the arm.
But Trump – like millions of Americans – believed the prosecutors acted unethically in bringing the charges for political reasons.
Trump tied the politically motivated charges against Rittenhouse to how the Biden administration is jailing Trump supporters charged with misdemeanors indefinitely.
The Biden administration is also prosecuting former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon for refusing to comply with a January 6 committee subpoena.
“It was prosecutorial misconduct in my opinion, and there’s plenty of it going on in this country right now. It was disgraceful,” Trump added.
Trump described Rittenhouse as the “poster boy” for “innocence based on self-defense.”
President Trump also told Ingraham that he believed Grosskreutz would have killed Rittenhouse when Grosskreutz pointed his gun at Rittenhouse had Rittenhouse not shot him in the arm in self-defense.
“I think [Rittenhouse] would have been dead if he waited a quarter of a second when that gun was pointed at his head. That guy was going to pull that trigger. Less than a second [later] he would have been dead,” Trump explained. “There would not have been a trial because they would not have tried the person who pulled the trigger. I was very happy to see it, a lot of people were happy to see it.”
Last August the corporate media erupted in outrage when Donald Trump said the first time he saw the Rittenhouse video Trump instantly knew Rittenhouse acted in self-defense.
“When I saw that early on, I didn’t have to see it 15 different times when you ended up seeing it probably 40 different times. It was all over. Everybody I knew, they said that’s self-defense. He would have been dead.”
When Donald Trump said the rioting mob chased Rittenhouse the so-called “fact-checking” website PolitiFact rated the claim false.
At trial, that is exactly what the video showed, and this lie by PolitiFact proved once again that “fact-checkers” are really dishonest Democrat partisans.
The Rittenhouse trial was one of the most shameful acts of the left politicizing the criminal justice system to advance a political agenda.
