Donald Trump had never said anything like this before.
Trump supporters were wondering what was going on.
And Donald Trump shocked Sean Hannity with a major concession about the 2020 election.
Donald Trump continued his comeback with an interview on Sean Hannity’s TV show.
As usual, the discussion drifted back toward the outcome of the 2020 election.
Trump explained that his campaign believed it could easily hit the target number of votes it would take to win.
“We were supposed to win easily, 64 million votes,” Trump began.
Trump then noted he received nearly 75,000,000 votes.
But the surprising comment came when Trump said he did not win.
“We got 75 million votes, and we didn’t win, but let’s see what happens on that,” Trump told Hannity.
Ever since November, Trump’s claimed he actually won the election and only massive voter fraud stole it for Joe Biden.
Trump’s legal challenges on this front did not succeed.
This was the first time Trump’s ever said in public that he did not win.
Some Trump supporters were wondering if Trump changed his mind on the election.
Others wondered if Trump listened to Republicans that told Trump his best path back to political power was focusing on Joe Biden and the Democrats ahead of the 2022 midterm election.
But Trump’s comment that “we’ll see what happens” may have been referring to the forensic audit in Maricopa County, Arizona and the reports out of Fulton County, Georgia that more votes than Joe Biden’s margin of victory were missing the legally required chain of custody documentation.
Even if both of these investigations came out in Trump’s favor it would not change the outcome of the 2020 election.
The only way Trump can become president again is winning the 2024 presidential election.
Corporate media’s accused Trump of pushing “The Big Lie” that he really won the 2020 election.
But there is evidence the tech companies helped tilt the election in Joe Biden’s favor.
Twitter and Facebook censored a New York Post story about the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop containing evidence of alleged pay-for-play schemes involving business deals in Communist China and Ukraine.
The corporate media downplayed or outright ignored other scandals involving Joe Biden such as minimizing the credible allegations of sexual assault made by Tara Reade.
A Media Research Center poll after the election found one in six Biden voters would not have voted for him had negative stories not been suppressed or outright censored.
Trump’s comments on Sean Hannity’s show took many in the media and in his base by surprise.
Some were wondering if Trump changed his mind or if he just found a different way to express what he already believed.
