Donald Trump claimed massive fraud cost him the 2020 election.
The corporate media called Trump a liar.
And now Donald Trump will want to see this video about voter fraud in a key 2020 state.
Georgia was the epicenter of Donald Trump’s claims of voter fraud in 2020.
Joe Biden won the state by 12,000 votes and multiple recounts confirmed that margin.
But Trump argued the problem was the recounts continually showed a tally that included illegal votes.
Now the watchdog group True the Vote presented evidence to Georgia’s secretary of state of illegal ballot harvesting taking place during the 2020 general election and the 2021 Senate runoff elections.
The evidence concerned the absurd decision by the state of Georgia to allow ballot drop boxes as part of pandemic emergency voting provisions.
Critics argued at the time that ballot drop boxes invited ballot harvesting – where political operatives collect ballots from multiple voters and turn them in – which is illegal under Georgia law.
True the Vote presented evidence of 242 individuals making trips to ballot drop boxes in these elections with 40 percent of visits occurring between midnight and 5 a.m.
In a statement to Just the News, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger stated that his office received evidence of ballot harvesting and that since the drop boxes were under 24hours a day and seven days a week surveillance this would be easy to confirm.
“We do have some information. And we are going to investigate that. We did deploy drop boxes that were under 24/7 surveillance, and because they were then that really, you know, can indicate who dropped that information off, and we’re really just going through that,” Raffensperger stated.
Raffensperger added that his office only opened investigations into credible allegations of voter fraud and that there was an open investigation into accusations of illegal ballot harvesting in the 2020 and 2021 elections.
“If people give us, you know, credible allegations, we want to make sure that we do that,” Raffensperger also told Just the News. “And we have that right now as an ongoing investigation.”
Raffensperger also told Just the News his office would issue subpoenas to obtain the surveillance footage if need be.
“That will be one of the processes we’re looking at if we have people that don’t want to come forward for whatever concern, because we really need to get to the bottom of it. We just can’t let it sit there and lie. So if it comes to that, then that’s probably the next step that we’d be looking at,” Raffensperger concluded.
Donald Trump issued a statement declaring this was a major development in his claims of fraud in the 2020 election.
“Wow, big news on Georgia election fraud. Many other states to follow!” Trump stated.
Even if Raffensperger’s office substantiates these allegations there is no guarantee it amounted to enough fraud to overturn the results in Georgia.
And even if ballot harvesting accounted for enough illegal votes to have tipped the state of Georgia, there is nothing that can be done about the 2020 results.
What can happen is the Georgia legislature can take action to ban ballot drop boxes to prevent fraud in the 2022 and 2024 elections.
