The Democrats love Fauci’s partisan policy statements.
But he’s hurting his own family.
Dr. Fauci’s family turned on his damaging policies with a stunning statement.
The Democrats don’t understand how lockdowns work.
For a long time Democrats admired Europe’s strategy of locking down tightly into the summer.
Europe had far less spread of the coronavirus during the summer and because of that Europe now had a sharp spike.
All lockdowns can do is spread out cases to keep the medical system from getting overwhelmed.
In New York, the hospital system came near getting overwhelmed even with the harsh lockdowns, possibly because Andrew Cuomo was sending COVID positive patients into nursing homes, yet Dr. Fauci said New York handled the coronavirus correctly.
“We’ve got to do the things that are very clear that we need to do to turn this around,” Fauci told PBS NewsHour in July. “Remember, we can do it. We know that when you do it properly, you bring down those cases. We’ve done it. We’ve done it in New York.”
Democrats completely rely on Dr. Fauci because they know that they can trust him to say what they want him to say.
Joe Biden’s running mate Kamala Harris said that she would only take a coronavirus vaccine if Dr. Fauci recommends it.
The Democrats have stated over and over again that doctors should be the ones making America’s policy decisions but there are other factors other than people dying of coronavirus to consider.
The CDC found that 11% of Americans seriously considered suicide in June.
Online schooling is leading many low income children to miss a year of schooling.
Unemployment has soared and many businesses are struggling or have closed their doors for good.
Dr. Anthony Fauci’s cousin also named Anthony Fauci, who is the founder of La Fontana restaurant in Staten Island, is one of those struggling under the New York lockdown.
“They shouldn’t do the lockdowns. Especially now. If you don’t abide by the rules … shut that area down, but don’t shut down the whole industry,” the Staten Island Fauci told the New York Post.
He said that his opinion of Dr. Fauci changed over the course of the coronavirus outbreak.
“In the beginning, I thought [Dr. Fauci] was fabulous, but then a few times he flip-flopped on different things. He had us all locked down at a tremendous rate,” Joe Fauci told the Post. “They should have loosened things up when it was slowing down in the summer. Everything else was loosening up except the restaurant business.”
Democrats seem to think that all Americans can afford to sit at home and wait for government assistance but that’s not an option for millions of Americans.
