Dr. Anthony Fauci has a lot to worry about.
Some of his worst secrets are now public.
Elon Musk said the one word that landed Dr. Fauci in deep trouble.
Dr. Fauci’s decisions as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) attracted scrutiny during the COVID pandemic due to the fact that Dr. Fauci helped fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The Wuhan lab is a level-four bioresearch facility that all available evidence indicated is where the coronavirus escaped from.
Elon Musk wrote on Twitter one reason Dr. Fauci escaped any professional sanction is because the top ethics official at the National Institutes of Health is none other than Dr. Fauci’s wife.
“Almost no one seems to realize that the head of bioethics at NIH — the person who is supposed to make sure that Fauci behaves ethically — is his wife,” Musk posted on Twitter.
Musk then took issue with Dr. Fauci approving the funding for gain-of-function research in Wuhan because it really was another way of saying the money went towards “bioweapons.”
Gain-of-function research makes viruses more transmissible and Musk contended making coronaviruses more transmissible was no different than creating a bioweapon.
Musk also noted that Barack Obama paused funding for gain-of-function research in 2014 before Dr. Fauci reopened the money spigot back in 2017.
“‘Gain-of-function’ in this context is just another way of saying ‘bioweapon’. Some good nuggets in article. Important to note that Fauci authored 2012 paper arguing for gain-of-function research! Obama wisely put this on pause, but Fauci restarted it,” Musk added.
A 2017 announcement posted to the NIH website declared that the agency would once again conduct gain-of-function research on coronaviruses.
“Today, the National Institutes of Health announced that it is lifting a funding pause dating back to October 2014 on gain-of-function (GOF) experiments involving influenza, SARS, and MERS viruses. GOF research is important in helping us identify, understand, and develop strategies and effective countermeasures against rapidly evolving pathogens that pose a threat to public health. The funding pause was lifted in response to today’s release of the Department of Health and Human Services Framework for Guiding Funding Decisions about Proposed Research Involving Enhanced Potential Pandemic Pathogens (link is external) (HHS P3CO Framework),” the post read.
Dr. Fauci denied under oath ever supporting gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
But many believe a $600,000 grant that the NIH laundered to the Wuhan lab through EcoHealth Alliance fell under the classification of gain-of-function research.
Rutgers Professor Dr. Richard Ebright stated that the statements “made on repeated occasions to the public, to the press and to policymakers by the NIAID director, Dr. Fauci, have been untruthful.”
“I do not understand why those statements are being made because they are demonstrably false,” Professor Ebright added.
Once Republicans take power in January Dr. Fauci’s testimony given under the penalty of perjury will attract intense scrutiny.
And the more Americans learn about Dr. Fauci’s role in the origins of COVID the angrier they become.
