Fox News’ coverage of the 2020 election turned into a giant source of controversy.
But things only got worse as Democrats sought to extend the vote count to elect Joe Biden.
And now Fox News asked Rush Limbaugh this question that will leave you red with rage.
Rush Limbaugh had a startling announcement for his audience.
Limbaugh revealed that Fox News “Special Report” host Bret Baier sent Limbaugh a note asking if he was conceding the election on behalf of Donald Trump.
Rush became incensed because all he was doing was running through the various scenarios for Donald Trump’s legal challenges.
“So I just get this note. I just got this note from Bret Baier at Fox News saying that I’ve conceded the election. He wants to know if that’s true. ‘Did you concede the election? You think that Biden’s…?’ I didn’t say that. I’m dealing in some hypotheticals here, but I’ve never conceded the election. I’ve never said that this was over. I’ve never said that,” Limbaugh began.
Limbaugh noted that the other networks were waiting for Fox News to call the race for Biden so that way it didn’t look like the liberal media was ganging up on President Trump to press their thumb on the scale for their preferred candidate.
“All I’ve said is that the cable networks are waiting for Fox to do it. By the way, I wrote back; I said, ‘Bret, you guys better be on the lookout because that’s what they’re doing,’” Limbaugh added.
“’They’re waiting for you to do it. They want to you eat crow. They want Murdoch to eat crow. They want you guys to be the ones to repudiate Trump.’ If anybody out there is thinking I’ve conceded anything, wrongo! And if I gave that impression, then I take it back, because that was not the intention,” Limbaugh concluded.
Baier was hoping he caught Limbaugh saying he conceded the election so Fox News could report that even Rush Limbaugh threw in the towel so President Trump should give up his challenges to voter fraud and concede the election.
Conservatives used to think they could trust Fox News to cover President Trump in a fair and balanced manner.
But on election night it became clear Fox News cast their lot with the other anti-Trump fake news networks.
Fox prematurely called Arizona for Joe Biden even though there were hundreds of thousands of votes still out.
But Fox called Arizona for Joe Biden to make it look like President Trump had no path to victory and to prevent the President from speaking on election night at claiming he was on track to win the election.
