The shakeup at Fox News continues.
Many viewers, including President Trump, cannot understand what is going on.
Now Fox News fired two popular hosts for one reason that took everyone by surprise.
Diamond and Silk became campaign trail and social media sensations who are enthusiastic and loyal Trump supporters.
Fox News signed them to a contract to appear as contributors on Fox News and to provide video content for the streaming Fox Nation platform.
But The Daily Beast reported that Fox News fired the duo for supposedly spreading “conspiracy theories” about the coronavirus.
The Daily Beast officially reported:
Fox News has cut ties with MAGA vlogging superstars Diamond & Silk, who had contributed original content to the network’s streaming service Fox Nation since shortly after its late 2018 launch.
The sudden split comes after the Trump-boosting siblings have come under fire for promoting conspiracy theories and disinformation about the coronavirus. “After what they’ve said and tweeted you won’t be seeing them on Fox Nation or Fox News anytime soon,” a source with knowledge of the matter told The Daily Beast.
Fox stopped booking Diamond and Silk after a March 30 livestream where Diamond questioned the reported death toll from coronavirus.
“What I need to know is how many people have passed away in New York, and what I need to know is: Who has the bodies?” Diamond stated. “I need for somebody that does investigative work to call the morgues. To call the funeral homes. We need to know, because I don’t trust anything else that comes out of his mouth now… Something’s not right here. Something is off here.”
After those comments, the state of Pennsylvania lowered the state’s death toll by 200.
There have been many issues regarding the death count as the Centers for Disease Control instructed states to code deaths as having died with the coronavirus.
There are questions about how many Americans died from the coronavirus.
A recent autopsy out in California found the first death in the United States took place on February 6 and not February 29 as was originally thought.
In addition, Fox News also apparently lost patience with Diamond and Silk for speculating that the virus was the product of laboratory research.
The Daily Beast also reported that Silk asked if the virus was “engineered.”
Even United States intelligence now believes the virus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
That laboratory clearly studied this virus.
It’s not a conspiracy theory to speculate that the virus was housed in a laboratory.
But Fox News firing Diamond and Silk is another sign that the network is more interested in pleasing liberal critics than presenting a fair and balanced look at the day’s news.
Fox is buying into the fake news media propaganda that the only way to “factually and accurately” cover the news is to hate Donald Trump and only allow views on the air that conform to what liberals think is acceptable to think about President Trump.
