The emails contained on Hunter Biden’s laptop threw his father’s presidential campaign back on its heels.
Biden is now facing serious and credible allegations of corruption.
And Fox News had one disturbing report about Hunter Biden’s emails.
The New York Post broke the story of Hunter Biden’s emails and how they allegedly described an influence peddling scheme that reportedly took place with Joe Biden’s knowledge.
But the New York Post only ran the story after Fox News passed on the bombshell scoop.
Mediaite exclusively reported, “Mediaite has learned that Fox News was first approached by Rudy Giuliani to report on a tranche of files alleged to have come from Hunter Biden’s unclaimed laptop left at a Delaware computer repair shop, but that the news division chose not to run the story unless or until the sourcing and veracity of the emails could be properly vetted.”
Fox News reportedly rejected the story because they did not trust the veracity of the emails.
“But according to two sources familiar with the matter, the lack of authentication of Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop, combined with established concerns about Giuliani as a reliable source and his desire for unvetted publication, led the network’s news division to pass. Fox News declined to comment on this story,” Mediaite also exclusively reported.
Fox News “Special Report” host Bret Baier gave voice to this conspiracy theory when he called the emails “sketchy” on the air, echoing a Democrat Party and fake news media talking point that the emails were actually part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
“Let’s say, just not sugarcoat it. The whole thing is sketchy,” Baier stated. “You couldn’t write this script in 19 days from an election, but we are digging into where this computer is and the emails and the authenticity of it.”
Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe batted down this baseless conspiracy theory in an interview with Fox Business Channel’s Maria Bartiromo.
“So, Maria it’s funny that some of the people that complained the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing intelligence and unfortunately in this case, it is Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who as you pointed out on Friday said that the intelligence community believes that Hunter Biden’s laptop and e-mails on it are part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” Director Ratcliffe explained.
“Let me be clear, the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that and we shared no intelligence with chairman Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” he continued. “It’s simply not true,” Ratcliffe added.
