It’s a new era in the White House press briefing room.
But it is the same old disaster for Joe Biden.
And Fox News humiliated Jen Psaki’s replacement with just this question.
Karine Jean-Pierre held her first press briefing after taking over for Jen Psaki.
It was a brutal start.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre to explain a May 13 tweet by Joe Biden falsely claiming that raising taxes would combat inflation.
A thoroughly confused Jean-Pierre appeared to leaf through a binder of talking points before rambling about how raising taxes increased economic fairness.
“Look, we have talked about, um, we have talked about this past year, about making sure that the wealthiest among us are paying their fair share, and that is important to do. That is something the president has been working on every day when we talk about inflation and lowering costs, so it’s very important that as we’re seeing costs rise, as we’re talking about how to, you know, build an America that’s equal for everyone and doesn’t leave anyone behind, that is an important part of that as well,” Jean-Pierre responded.
Clearly the page Jean-Pierre turned to did not offer the correct talking points as Jean-Pierre’s answer had nothing to do with inflation.
Doocy refused to let it go and asked for a clarification as to what any of that had to do with inflation.
That produced more incoherence as Jean-Pierre – who clearly had no idea what she was talking about – babbled about climate change.
“So I think we encourage those who have done very well, especially those who care about climate change, to support a fairer tax code that doesn’t charge manufacturers, workers, cops, builders a higher percentage of their earnings, that the most fortunate people in our nation, and not let that stand in the way of reducing energy costs and fighting an existential problem if you think about it, that is an example. To support basic collective bargaining rights as well,” Jean-Pierre added.
Watch what happens when Peter Doocy asks the new White House press secretary how raising taxes on the rich brings down inflation, as Biden tweeted last week.

Biden’s tweet about raising taxes to combat inflation even turned the tech big wigs who funded his campaign and helped rig the last election in Biden’s favor by censoring negative stories about Hunter Biden against him.
Former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos mocked Biden for absurdly claiming raising taxes would bring down the cost of goods and services.
The newly created Disinformation Board should review this tweet, or maybe they need to form a new Non Sequitur Board instead. Raising corp taxes is fine to discuss. Taming inflation is critical to discuss. Mushing them together is just misdirection. https://t.co/ye4XiNNc2v

Inflation is by far and away the number one issue facing voters this November.
And if Joe Biden was looking to his new press secretary to help change the narrative around Americans feeling the pinch of surging prices brought about by Joe Biden’s socialist spending agenda Biden needs to think again.
