Hillary Clinton got some bad news.
It involves the political crime of the century.
And Hillary Clinton is finished after what this top ally confessed in court.
Special counsel John Durham’s prosecution of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann for allegedly lying to the FBI continues to produce bombshells.
The latest development occurred when Clinton’s 2016 campaign manager Robby Mook testified that Clinton was the one who authorized the leak of the lie that a server in Trump Tower communicated with the Kremlin-backed Alfa Bank during the election.
2016 Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook confirms #Hillary Clinton approved release of Trump-Alfa Bank allegations. Following the OK, “My recollection is it was a still-unnamed campaign staffer … with our press department” who contacted media. #SussmannTrial

Mook testified that he told Clinton the campaign needed this falsehood in the hands of a reporter so a media outlet could run with it.
Clinton – Mook testified – gave the go-ahead for the leak.
Mook said he told Clinton: “We have this and we want to share it. She agreed to that.” He later said: “All I can remember is she agreed with the decision. She thought we made the right decision.” #SussmannTrial

This leak sits at the center of this trial.
Prosecutors told the jury that the Clinton campaign sought to engineer the ultimate October surprise through “a look, a leak and a lie.”
The look was the fabricated data showing Trump-Russia collusion that Sussmann fed to the FBI during his 2016 meeting.
The leak would be the fact that the FBI was now investigating Clinton.
And the lie was Sussmann allegedly telling the FBI he was not acting on behalf of the campaign when he peddled this conspiracy to the FBI.
Mook’s testimony was the first evidence that drew Hillary Clinton into direct involvement in the conspiracy to frame Donald Trump for colluding with the Russians during the 2016 election.
When the Durham investigation began, many Trump supporters hoped Durham would produce a definitive accounting of the origins of the Russian collusion hoax and punish the guilty.
While Durham did not bring criminal charges against some of the worst Deep State offenders, Durham’s prosecutors can still tell their story through witness cross examination and presenting evidence.
And if the Republicans win control of one or both houses of Congress in the November midterm election it is a safe bet that at least one committee will call Durham to testify and subpoena whatever report Durham submits to the Justice Department at the conclusion of his investigation.
