Hillary Clinton is ramping up her potential 2024 presidential campaign.
Ahead of a third White House bid, Clinton targeted one of the left’s top boogeymen.
And Hillary Clinton issued one ultimatum that caused Sean Hannity to say these three words.
The latest step in Clinton’s political comeback was a major speech at the New York State Democratic Party Convention.
Clinton used part of her address – which was targeted at a national audience – to attack Fox News.
Fox News was the only corporate media outlet to cover John Durham’s court filing where Durham accused Clinton’s team of enlisting tech operative Rodney Joffe – identified as “Tech Executive-1” in the filing – to monitor servers at Trump Tower and the Executive Office of the President back in 2016 to try and frame Trump for colluding with the Russians.
“As set forth in the Indictment, on Sept. 19, 2016 – less than two months before the 2016 U.S. Presidential election – the defendant, a lawyer at a large international law firm (‘Law Firm-1’) that was then serving as counsel to the Clinton Campaign, met with the FBI General Counsel at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C,” the indictment read. “The defendant provided the FBI General Counsel with purported data and ‘white papers’ that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and a Russia-based bank (‘Russian Bank-1’).”
Clinton claimed Fox News defamed her by covering this story and alleging her campaign spied on Donald Trump going so far as to claim Fox News met the legal standard of “actual malice” that would allow her to win a lawsuit.
“Fox leads the charge with accusations against me, counting on their audience to fall for it again,” Clinton hysterically ranted. “And as an aside, they’re getting awfully close to actual malice in their attacks.”
Sean Hannity offered a rebuttal that night on Fox News.
“Bring it on,” Hannity declared hinting that a lawsuit would blow up in Clinton’s face.
“It’s called discovery and it’s called depositions,” Hannity stated. “Bring it on. Malice? Really? It’s called news. Hillary, we invite you to bring it on. It’s from a legal filing we quoted exactly from the filing that was put in federal court.”
Truth is an absolute defense in any defamation case.
Clinton suing Fox News Channel means Fox’s lawyers get access to all documents and communications relating to the campaign’s involvement in the Russian collusion hoax.
Fox lawyers could dig through a treasure trove of documents revealing the extent of the campaign’s communications with the media, deep state, and Obama administration officials about the Russian collusion hoax.
And that is why Clinton will never go through with a lawsuit against Fox.
It would open her up to the possibility that Fox’s lawyers could prove once and for all that Hillary Clinton and her team spied on the Trump campaign.
