For Republicans, Hillary Clinton is the gift that keeps on giving.
Clinton was asked to comment on Maxine Waters’ call to terrorize Trump officials.
She responded by using the five words that may have just killed any chances of a blue wave in November.
California Congresswoman Maxine Waters kicked off a national firestorm when she bellowed orders to liberal rally goers that they should harass and intimidate Trump cabinet officials if they see them out in public.
Waters remarks came on the heels of a liberal mob chasing Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen out of a Mexican restaurant and later stalking her at her home.
Democrats were torn over the remarks.
Party leadership believes the increasingly confrontational protests will alienate swing voters ahead of the midterm elections.
And some experts worry the monster that has been unleashed in terms of the “resistance” will grow out of control and lead to a serious injury or even killing of a Trump official.
But the Democrats’ activist base embraces the protests and intends on escalating them.
Hillary Clinton was interviewed by the left-wing outlet The Guardian and was quizzed about her thoughts on the public intimidation campaigns liberals are carrying out against Trump officials.
Clinton gave the Republicans a tremendous political gift with her answer.
The two-time failed Presidential candidate ranted, “Oh, give me a break.”
“Give me a break! What is more uncivil and cruel than taking children away? It should be met with resolve and strength. And if some of that comes across as a little uncivil, well, children’s lives are at stake; their futures are at stake. That is that ridiculous concept of bothsideism.”
Clinton is playing to the reporters’ liberal sympathies by claiming that asking her about liberals menacing public officials at their homes is “bothsideism.”
If there is anything so-called “mainstream” reporters hate, it is being seen by their liberal peers as being fair to Republicans or taking their concerns objectively.
Clinton continued to shame the reporter saying that the real scandal is Donald Trump enforcing federal immigration law.
The former First Lady raged,
“‘Well, you know, somebody made an insulting, profane remark about President Trump, and he separated 2,300 children from their families, that’s both sides, and we should stop being uncivil – oh and, by the way, he should stop separating children.’ Give me a break, really.”
“I mean, this is a crisis of his making that will damage kids for no good reason at all, and I think everybody should be focused on that until the children are reunited.”
Republican campaign strategists could barely contain their glee.
Every day Hillary Clinton is in the public spotlight is a good day for the GOP.
Now every Democrat running for office will be tied to Clinton’s embrace of the politics of terror.
