The investigation into the origins of the Russian collusion hoax is not going away anytime soon.
The legal waters are only getting more dangerous for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Deep State agents involved.
And Hillary Clinton will be terrified of the bombshell the attorney general dropped on Fox News.
Former Attorney General William Barr tasked Connecticut United States Attorney John Durham to investigate the Russian collusion hoax.
Durham’s probe quickly turned into a criminal investigation.
But for nearly two years, Trump supporters wondered what would come of it.
Then Durham indicted Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann for lying to the FBI in a 2016 meeting claiming he was not there on behalf of his client, the Clinton campaign.
Sussmann worked at Perkins Coie, the law firm that hired ex-British spy Christopher Steele to put together the Trump-Russia dossier.
The Federal Election Commission recently fined the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee over $100,000 for filing campaign finance reports falsely listing payments to Perkins Coie as for legal services when they were really for digging up dirt on Donald Trump.
Former Attorney General Barr told Fox News the question Durham began investigating was if the Clinton campaign invented the Russian collusion hoax as a campaign “dirty trick” to leak against Donald Trump just before the election.
“I think the question all along … has been that this was a campaign-dirty-trick to get the government to investigate allegations — scurrilous allegations — about Donald Trump and then leak that right before the election,” Barr told host Martha MacCallum.
Barr explained that the next question was if the Clinton campaign concocted the hoax to initiate a government investigation of Donald Trump and if the FBI was in cahoots with the Clinton campaign on this caper.
“And so that raises two questions: Was the Clinton campaign developing this false information and feeding it in for that purpose? And what was the FBI’s role on this?” Barr added.
Former Attorney General Barr added that the indictment of Sussmann and researcher Igor Danchenko tipped off Barr that Durham’s made solid progress in unwinding this conspiracy against Donald Trump and the American people.
“It tells me that he [has] dug very deep and he has developed some good information and he thinks he can make a criminal case here,” Barr continued.
Finally, Barr reassured Fox News viewers that Durham was a serious prosecutor dedicated to the rule of law and would not pull any punches in handing down indictments if agents of the Clinton campaign or the Deep State broke the law.
“And there’s never been a doubt in my mind that if there’s a crime to be proven in and brought by the prosecutor, Durham will do it,” Barr concluded.
