Hillary Clinton’s name has popped up in connection to yet another big scandal.
She is never far from trouble.
And Clinton’s ties to a secret closed-door meeting in 2016 has people fearing the worst.
A Controversial Trump Tower Meeting
The press focused on the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting as the best chance to prove the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.
Donald Trump Jr. met with a group of Russians who had promised “dirt” on Hillary Clinton.
A music producer set up the meeting claiming it was part of the Russian government giving their support to Donald Trump.
However, no information about Hillary was given—the Russians had used the meeting to push the Trump campaign to support ending a ban on Russian adoption.
But the media jumped on the intent and claimed that because Trump, Jr. walked in expecting to be handed “dirt” on Hillary, that it proved premeditated collusion.
Some Trump critics even accused Donald Trump, Jr. of treason.
Since the Mueller probe had failed to dig up proof of collusion, anti-Trump journalists jumped on this story to claim the campaign was in on a conspiracy to rig the election.
Hillary Clinton’s Connection To This Meeting
As investigators dug up more facts about the meeting, they’ve found troubling details.
The Russian lawyer who had promised dirt on Clinton, Natalia Veselnitskaya, worked with Fusion GPS.
Fusion GPS was the company hired by the Clinton campaign to dig up scandals about Donald Trump.
It was Fusion GPS who hired Christopher Steele to compile the fake news Trump-Russia dossier.
And the Russian translator who was at the meeting has worked with Hillary Clinton in the past.
Anatoli Samochornov worked for the Meridian International Center.
Meridian is a Washington think-tank that teams up with the State Department.
His time at Meridian lines up with Hillary Clinton’s term as Secretary of State.
In fact, he’s worked as a translator for Hillary Clinton on at least one occasion.
Another Russian at the meeting told the Senate Judiciary Committee that he was friends with Hillary Clinton.
Rinat Akhmetshin is a lobbyist who claims he’s known Clinton for over 20 years.
He stated that he even met with a friend of Clinton’s on the day of the Trump Tower meeting.
Was the Trump Tower Meeting a Clinton Set up?
Trump supporters believe the meeting was a setup.
Russians connected to Hillary Clinton reached out to Donald Trump, Jr. to arrange a meeting by promising “dirt” on Hillary, but their try goal was to frame Trump for colluding with the Russians.
Fusion GPS head Glenn Simpson told the Senate the meeting backed up a key claim in the dossier.
Simpson stated it was proof the Trump campaign took a steady flow of information from the Russian government.
Moreover, Simpson ate dinner with the Russian lawyer the night before the meeting.
This fact pattern leads Trump supporters to believe the meeting was a setup.
The number of Russians connected to Hillary and Fusion GPS raises several red flags.
