After losing the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton has gone quiet.
Besides releasing a book last year, she hasn’t done much.
But all that is about to change after revealing her 2020 plans.
A Party In Turmoil
In wake of the 2016 election loss, the Democrat Party is in bad shape.
There is no defined leader in the party and different factions are at war.
On the other side of the aisle, Republicans are in good shape with Trump at the helm.
DNC fundraising is proving just how bad the fracture is.
Leading into the midterm elections, the DNC has raised $117 million total, while Republicans have raised $227 million.
These weak fundraising numbers make it difficult for Democrats with the upcoming midterm elections.
So Hillary Clinton sees it as an opportunity to sneak back into politics.
Hillary Clinton Headlining Three Fundraisers
Hillary Clinton is headlining three fundraisers for the DNC.
One will be in her home city of New York, and the others in San Francisco and Chicago.
This is a clear sign that she intends to rebuild her public profile.
After losing the 2016 election, her only attempt to get back into the public spotlight was with a book release.
The book, “What Happened”, highlighted her thoughts on the 2016 election.
While it gave her a lot of press time, her book tour didn’t go well.
Her stops included grocery stores and many stops brought in few people.
It’s clear that isn’t the best avenue for her to get back into politics.
In recent months, she has expressed support for the anti-Trump resistance.
She has begun leading a campaign to shut down Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.
And she’s also made multiple high-profile donations to Democrats.
A Huge Leap
But getting directly involved in fundraising for the DNC is a bigger leap.
Her 2016 loss led towards many high-profile Democrats turning against her.
Fundraising for the DNC is one way to get those people back on her side.
It could also be a signal that she is interested in jumping into the 2020 election.
And while that might sound crazy, there is a lot of possibility.
While most of America recognizes that Trump won through his message, Democrats don’t.
Democrats believe that the Russians rigged the election in favor of Trump.
In their eyes, Hillary Clinton should have won.
So a real possibility to take down Trump is a Hillary Clinton re-match.
The first step for Hillary Clinton is to thrust herself back into the public spotlight and get the Democrat establishment back on her side.
